Historia
When Muslim fundamentalists blow up a key Soviet oil complex, making an already critical oil shortage calamitous, the Russians figure they are going to have to take things into their own hands. They plan to seize the Persian Gulf, and more ambitiously, to neutralize NATO. Thus begins Red Storm, an audacious gamble that uses diplomatic maneuver to cloak a crash military build-up.

It's Finally Over
Revisado: 05-30-13
If you could sum up Red Storm Rising in three words, what would they be?
Exciting, Technical, Action
What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Storm Rising?
The End
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narration was dreadful. Pritchard routinely put me to sleep. There was a great deal I didn't like about how he handled the book or at least was directed in. A large issue was cutting between scenes. The book is so intense and so technical that he didn't try to accentuate when scenes were changing. Since he didn't have a consistent Russian accent half the time I was listening lost what front he was talking about.
The book needs to be reread today and with a different director as well as voice. The novel wasn't done justice. First bad Audio book I've run into. Especially one with such a great story behind it.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Meh

Historia
When the obituary of legendary computer game architect Matthew Sobol appears online, a previously dormant daemon activates, initiating a chain of events that begins to unravel our interconnected world. This daemon reads news headlines, recruits human followers, and orders assassinations. With Sobol’s secrets buried with him, and as new layers of his daemon are unleashed, it’s up to Detective Peter Sebeck to stop a self-replicating virtual killer before it achieves its ultimate purpose - one that goes far beyond anything Sebeck could have imagined.

Computer Happens
Revisado: 09-11-12
What made the experience of listening to Daemon the most enjoyable?
The story was fast paced and told brilliantly. Plus it was a very new story. What happens when a "pure" autonomous being takes over that doesn't care about you, but cares about the species? That's what Daniel Suarez was throwing in your face. This book set up Freedom nicely.
What did you like best about this story?
Tech heavy and it made the government as dirty as it is.
Which character – as performed by Jeff Gurner – was your favorite?
Honestly I think I enjoyed the computer system the most. It was creepy yet angelic if you can believe that.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I think I killed about 3 hours in one sitting and could have easily put away another couple hours.

Creepy Crawly Robotics?
Revisado: 09-11-12
Would you listen to Kill Decision again? Why?
I don't think I would listen to Kill Decision again. It was a great read but not one that I think I would have to return to a second time.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
To a point it did. I had it most of the way figured out at about the 75% mark.
What does Jeff Gurner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great voices. Great entertainment. The book comes alive when he tells the story. They guy has a gift.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Ehh..Nor really.
Any additional comments?
Great read and tech heavy. If you like science, bugs, robotics, and all of those things coming together in a near apocalyptic end then this book is for you.
