While author Marta Spirk directed this book toward women, it is excellent information for everyone. Her straightforward way of presenting the material makes it easy to understand.

Her explanation of the Enneagram system is one of the best I have heard. Between her personal anecdotes and solid teaching, this book is an excellent addition to anyone’s library.

I listened to the audiobook of The Empowered Woman. This is a short read/listen at just 172 pages and ninety minutes for the audiobook. The author’s enthusiasm shines throughout the book. An overabundance of information is packed into every minute of this roadmap to business success.

If you are looking for a better understanding of yourself and how to gain confidence in your business and personal life, grab a copy of this excellent guide today.

I received a copy of the audiobook for an iRead book tour. This review is my honest opinion.

Shadow of Murder is book fourteen of the Mac Faraday series from Lauren Carr.

This series just keeps getting better and better. Someday soon, I need to read them all in order.

I read the audiobook version of this tale and it was wonderful. The character representation and voice work of the narrator, Mike Alger fits perfectly for this story.

Lauren Carr weaves storylines together like no other author I’ve read. With a plethora of characters included in this tale, Mac and Gnarley are still my favorites. I did enjoy the newest residents of the town and the way they interacted with long-time faves.

There are many twists and turns throughout the story. I have to admit, I was a little surprised by most of them. This entry in the Mac Faraday series feels a bit darker but nevertheless, it’s still typical Lauren Carr gripping fiction.

I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

I received a digital download of the audiobook for a book blog tour. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

'Til the Last Snowflake Falls by Al E. Boy is a wonderful story set at the North Pole. It covers the adventures of Fawn, the daughter of Comet and Vixen.

Pam Tsujioka is the narrator. It is a single narration reading. With just a hint of an accent, her voice lends magic to the story. Each character is modulated with enough difference to keep the conversations organized in my mind. There are distinct changes in tone and inflection. Ms. Tsujioka brings the text to life for the listener.

The pace suited me well. But, if you prefer a faster pace to your audiobooks, the story plays well at a slightly increased speed.

As for the tale itself, the characters are magical. Dr. Mary Weather has lost her Christmas spirit. With the help of Fawn, Snowboy, Bunny, and the others, that spirit is revived and thriving once more.

Captain Kemp and Higgins represent all that’s wrong with the world: greed, meanness, avarice, lies, and more. Santa, Wajik, Mary, and the animals work together to revive, Snowboy, as well as the flagging Christmas spirit.

I love the detailed explanations of how the magic of Santa's village works to bring joy to everyone. The author's experience helping "Santa" for 40 years lends itself to this creative endeavor.

Young readers that are ready for an introduction to more involved novels will love this book. There are lessons to learn and adventures to be experienced. They will begin to learn about actions and consequences in a fun, heart-warming, whimsical tale.

This book/audio would make an excellent bedtime story by reading/listening to a chapter or two each night. I highly recommend 'Til the Last Snowflake Falls to all parents, grandparents, daycares, and libraries.

I happily award this unique story 5 stars.

After reading Back to the Burgh and Beyond, I was anxious to read more from C.S. McDonald. Murder on Pointe seemed the best place to start. Now on to my thoughts.

This cozy mystery is a quick, fun listen or read. The author hooks you in the opening pages with a murder and then keeps throwing twists, turns, and red herrings at you until the end. I was so sure I had it figured out, but I was wrong.

The book has all the cozy mystery devices needed for a delightful story. Loyal best friend...check. Cute dog...check. Dreamboat detective...check. Antagonist you love to hate...check. Multiple suspects...check. Don't take my word for it. Read the book for yourself. If cozies are your genre, you'll enjoy it.

As for the audiobook, I loved it. Maren Swenson Waxenberg does her usual magnificent job portraying the various characters. Her inflections make it easy to differentiate the large number of people in the cast. Maren's voice is so soothing and pleasant, I could listen to her read a phonebook. Well, that statement certainly dates me, doesn't it?

Overall, I highly recommend this book to lovers of a quick, fun, mystery.

I received the audiobook as part of a blog tour and read the digital version through Kindle Unlimited.

I am reviewing the audiobook.

Back to the Burgh and Beyond is the first work I have read from C. S. McDonald. I am impressed and will be reading more.

The humor has a fun, sarcastic bite to it and the mystery kept me listening well into the evening.

Winnie almost stole the show with her wit, charm, and treats. Alexa did a bang-up job of traveling between 1953 and the present without losing her way. Several characters made appearances, including Fiona Quinn, star of her own series.

I look forward to learning more about Cliff, Bobby, and Holden. I’m sure this cast has so much more to share with us.

Karen Swenson Waxenberg’s narration was spot-on. Her intonations made distinguishing between the characters easy to follow, and I immensely enjoyed the cadence. Ms. Waxenberg allowed the humor to show through in her words. It was an enjoyable listen.

I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next installment of the series.
