Historia
Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Two interesting topics collide...
Revisado: 09-25-20
This book guided me to realize that understanding the psychology of money is more powerful than money itself. It is the fairest book I have ever read about earning, saving, and spending money. The author's refreshing perspective avoids the extreme ends, and his book leaves you in a comfortable space between them. He neutralizes topics that typically divide people and uses inclusive language that is not overly complicated. We need more people like Morgan Housel in the world of finance.
My husband suggested I read this book after he finished reading it himself, and although it seemed like a complicated topic to me, I was quickly proven wrong and couldn't stop listening to it once I started. This book is interesting, and we both loved it!
I also found the content extremely helpful for explaining money, habits, and happiness to kids and young adults. Although it may not have been the author's intention- the book has many sound and moral thoughts I feel confident sharing with them. Talking about money can be taboo, but this book makes it easier to explain how a healthy relationship with money should look.

Historia
How are eggs of different shapes made, and why are they the shapes they are? When does the shell of an egg harden? Why do some eggs contain two yolks? How are the colours and patterns of eggshells created, and why do they vary? And which end of an egg is laid first - the blunt end or the pointy end?

Not only is it well written, but also one of the most interesting books I have ever read. It completely changed the way I view eggs. I have found myself talking about it to everyone I come in contact with.
