Historia
In this fascinating narrative, therapist Catherine Gildiner presents five of what she calls her most heroic and memorable patients. Among them: A successful, first-generation Chinese immigrant musician suffering sexual dysfunction; a young woman whose father abandoned her at age nine with her younger siblings in an isolated cottage in the depth of winter; and a glamorous workaholic whose narcissistic, negligent mother greeted her each morning of her childhood with "Good morning, Monster". Each patient presents a mystery, one that will only be unpacked over years.

Fascinating

One of those books that I could not put down. Catherine is an exceptional writer . . . felt like I was in the room. Incredibly educational without one ounce of boredom. I think Catherine is an underrated writer.

Huge Insight
Revisado: 09-27-20
This book moved me. I could not put it down. Jason was brutally honest which was the only way to really convey the depth of his circumstance. As someone who has dedicated their life to helping others break addictions, this book woke me up to the severity of addiction. I will forever change the way I view and help someone that is addicted to anything. I am so glad I came upon this book on my own. The language is rough, be forewarned. I had to skip a few graphic scenes, be forewarned.
