breathtaking, beautiful. it's so nice to have a long book worth experiencing from cover to cover. if you love good humans and dear animals, this is for you. there are distressing, sad moments, but all for the story. incredibly creative, moving.

great story. humanized gaming industry.

for an industry so mysterious to me, the story became so beautiful. loved the character building and the relationships. the one criticism I had was with how easily dismissive Sadie and Sam could be with each other, harboring such intense grudges for years, after loving each other so much. perhaps this was intentional, to make them immature. but I found it simpleminded for such wonderful characters. but I did love the book and greatly sympathized with each of them.

important story. thoroughly entertaining. I'm glad I listened to this historically fiction telling of how the Vietnam vets and especially the nurses were treated so terribly upon return. I had no idea it was that bad and I'm so sorry for them.

this was a great break from all the setups stuff I listen to, and the news and events that depress me on a regular basis. just loved the escapism. fun story line, sarcasm, and tough-love sentimentality. I'll look for another Scalzi!

pace of author was perfect. my first exposure to A. Camut and looking forward to Myth of S. this was beautiful, heart breaking, and astonishingly similar to my memories of COVID. human nature is predictable. mostly good, but occasionally silly and terrible.

I was caught by surprise here! Full disclosure, Paul is my cousin, so I thought I knew where he was going. I was wrong. It's completely different from his other books and really well done. Great story telling and pivots between chapters. plus, gotta say, the sex scenes aren't lacking. The suspense is what kept me listening in any break I had, though. I recommend it to anyone who likes his suspense!!!

wow! if interested in extinct animals, or saving animals for extinction, nature conservancy, or something adventurous, this is a great book. narrated by the author, Mr. gallante does a good job and his passion is palpable. I completely enjoyed and was inspired.
