Historia
Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Great writing
Revisado: 04-18-24
The author wrote so descriptively- almost poetry. Sometimes I felt like she could have edited a bit more, but overall, this was a great book that had me hoping against hope for the protagonist’s success.

Having experienced ICF accredited training, I can tell you that this book is as close as you will get to taking the course yourself. Sandy’s many real world examples add rich context which helps guide a reader who may be less familiar with coaching and the many ways to employ it.

As a music of as it is improbable. I found myself laughing out loud several times and falling in love with the kids and Lillian. The narrator was outstanding! Anyone reading this book on paper is missing out!

Pulled me in and kept me engaged right through the end cheering for Evie’s success. Would love to see a sequel that gives us what happens next in both Evie and Cyrus’ stories.

This book was excellent. If you’ve never had a dog and don’t feel their souls, you may not love it as much. This book had me in tears. The ending was so sweet.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Enjoyable little story
Revisado: 05-03-19
I didn’t know what this story was about before starting to listen on my long morning commute. Well, it sucked me quite quickly and I found myself thinking about it all day until I got back into my car this evening. I was actually thankful to have some traffic so that I could get through the remainder!
