Gripping

I love Peter Clines and Ray Porter so it was a given that I would download and listen to this book. I couldn’t turn it off!! I looked for excuses to get back in the car and drive anywhere. The story is so gripping and interesting - never saw any of it coming. I’d love to hear a sequel - why did they leave Shame? I’d really like to know! Enjoy and watch where you’re driving!

What did you like about this audiobook?
Nothing. The authors changed the style of writing in this book from the previous books. All most like a completely different person wrote this one. The wording seemed to be much more juvenile and the descriptions were over done. This was a difficult book to listen to, but an easy book to give up on. And as any true lover of reading knows, giving up is all most never done. But I decided life is too short.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
I loved the books 1-5. Rewrite this one, bring back Jenna and you'll have me back.
What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
I loved this series...even got over the change from Edwina to Jenna, but I can not tolerate listening to any more by Casandra. First of all changing narrators during a series is annoying and unprofessional. But to do it FOUR times, absolutely ridiculous. It didn't sound like Cassandra even bothered to listen to the previous books to see how to correctly pronounce names or give the correct accents to the right people. I also thought it was difficult to tell whom she was speaking as, all her voices sounded the same.
Do you have any additional comments?
If this was a bookstore, I would return the book and get my money back. I feel like I've been cheated out of my credit.

Not Another Twilight

Stephanie Meyer has written some amazing books before -the Twilight Series- but none of them can compete with Host. If your looking for another Twilight this isnt the book for you, it is nothing like Twilight. But it still retains the amazing quatlity Stephanie always bring to her books. Dont pass up a chance for a great read and buy this book.

When my mom first told me to listen to this book i thouht, this is going to be another boring adult book. So i postponed reading it until i had read everything else. That turned out to be a huge mistake, because after reading this book i went ammidiatly to audible to find out if she had written anythin else.
This book contains everything you could want in a book, mystery, romance, action, suspense, and family. It is written so well you feel connected to Lucy and her feelings in a way you dont with other books. And as for the reader i think she was just perfect. She had to read for a boy as well and she did an amazing job. I hope she read more books so i can buy them as well.
