Everly Plum runs the Bridesmaid for Hire program at Magical Moments by Maggie. When one of the business's billionaire investors, Hardy Hopper, asks Everly to step in to help the maid of honor organize all of the events leading up to his college friends’ wedding, she readily agrees, but it’s not just her professional services that Hardy is after. The maid of honor is his ex-girlfriend, who has just returned to town. Hardy wants Everly’s help reconnecting with her. Despite her own crush on Hardy, Everly agrees to assist him.

At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Friends-to-lovers (friendship develops on page)
- Age gap
- Off limits / forbidden romance
- Workplace romance
- Email / text / epistolary elements (I’m a sucker for epistolary elements.)
- Pining / longterm crush (her)
- An “Oh my gosh, do I like her???” moment (him)
- Banter, banter, banter
- Steam
- Slapstick and lol moments

TL;DR: I adore Hardy and Everly together. The matchmaking efforts by the friends made me grin, as did all of the bird emails from JP of the Cane Brothers series. And the epically bad date with Tomothy (not a typo) made me both grimace and guffaw.

This one is excellent on audio! Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke’s duet narration really makes it come alive.

Both Maggie Mitchell and Brody McFadden see the Hopper wedding at the upscale resort in Bora Bora as a way to get in with that family. Brody wants a chance to get face time with the owner of his company in hopes that getting to know him on a personal level will make the big boss more amenable to supporting his business proposal. Maggie, who just happens to be vacationing at the resort at the time of the wedding, wants to form a business connection. Having ties to Hopper Hotels would be a great boon for her wedding planning business, Magical Moments by Maggie.

When a bridesmaid is unable to attend the wedding at the last minute, Maggie offers to step in and assist, and she poses as Brody’s girlfriend to get that introduction.

At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Destination wedding / vacation romance
- Brother’s best friend
- Fake dating
- Enemies-to-lovers
- Rake (who’s only ever loved her)
- Plenty of bickering and banter
- Only one bed
- Slapstick comedy
- Delicious steam

TL;DR: They love each other, y’all, and it’s been a long time coming. But that pesky, protective older brother has always gotten in the way, so Brody has gone on the defensive to protect both his feelings and his friendship. He didn’t mean to hurt Maggie in the process. I love them together, and it’s clear that the tension between them is something more (even if they can’t see it themselves).

If you’re an audiobook fan, I highly recommend listening to this one. Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke’s duet narration is absolutely fantastic.

A work hard, play hard heiress and a regimented, former military man are tapped to raise a baby together in an unexpected turn of events in Pippa Grant’s Crazy for Loving You.

This is the fourth book in the Bluewater Billionaires series. Each book is written by a different author and can be read as a standalone.

Much like the FMC Daisy, this one initially appears to be all fun, no substance, but as things go with Pippa Grant’s books, we see plenty of heart to go along with all that humor.

At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Billionaire romance
- Over-the-top setting
- Opposites attract
- Forced proximity
- Co-parenting
- Class differences
- Plenty of heat
- A bunch of cats
- And a neighborhood alligator

I especially liked Daisy’s big heart and how West really sees her.

Teddy Hamilton and Virginia Rose do an especially good job of capturing the humor in this one.

Snowed in, Age Gap Romance

A rising pop star and former boy band member, now movie star, get snowed in together over the holidays in Snowed in with Mr. Heartbreaker.

She has always been off-limits for him. First, there's that sizable age gap between them. Then there's the fact that he's her landlord back in California; she does live in his pool house after all. And then there's the ties between them; she's friends with his good friend's wife. He doesn't want to mess with the found family or make her uncomfortable in any way, but he fell for her over text before he realized who she was (or how old she is). He is so unbelievably gone for her but refuses to cross boundaries or make a move.

He's the one she thinks could save Christmas for her, but she would never tell him that.

I loved their sweet moments, banter, and the steam between them. I especially loved how they developed feelings for each other emotionally first and how competent Cash is. The man keeps them alive in the middle of a snowstorm and power outage in a mountain cabin in December, y'all.

Prior knowledge of both the Bro Code series and Copper Valley Fireballs series is helpful, but not necessary, to enjoy this one.

Sebastian York and Emma Wilder do a good job of bringing the story to life with their dual narration. It's a fun listen and at 3 hours and 41 minutes at 1x, is a quick novella length without extra fluff to listen to at Christmas or any time of the year.

A short-term nanny gig leads to love in The Naughty, the Nice and the Nanny.

At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Holiday romance
- Novella-ish length
- Single Dad
- Nanny-employer
- Teenage crush
- And a little girl, who seems like a handful but just wants attention and love

Given the title, I expected things to be naughtier, but I really appreciate that Maddox and Natalie wait until after he no longer employs her before things progress between them.

It’s a quick and entertaining holiday read.

4⭐️ narration from Vanessa Edwin and Aaron Shedlock - I especially appreciated that the daughter, Violet, doesn’t sound too babyish in the audiobook.

An unconventional meeting, a—what’s supposed to be short term—marriage of convenience, and two people destined to be together kick off The Darlings series by Ilsa Madden-Mills.

At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Football romance
- Fated
- Bookstore!
- Marriage of convenience
- Close-knit siblings (plus some family drama)
- A cat
- And a stuffed pig
- Health concerns
- TW: abuse (not between the MMC and FMC)

I adored how fiercely loyal and protective Emmy and Graham are of their loved ones, the elaborate window displays and entertaining customer interactions at the bookstore, Babs full stop, Brody’s matchmaking, and Jane wielding an ax.

I enjoyed the audiobook narration, especially the sections narrated by Savannah Peachwood.

Sent on a mission to Earth to wipe out a mathematician’s research—as well as anyone who may be aware of said research—an extraterrestrial learns there is more to the human species than he’s been led to believe.

As he familiarizes himself with his mission and what it means to be human, he becomes more and more reluctant to finish the job.

The story is handled with humor and care as the extraterrestrial takes the mathematician’s place and grows closer to his family. The extraterrestrial fumbles and stumbles along the way as he becomes more human.

I especially liked the Advice for a Human chapter.

The narration by Mark Meadows kept me entertained.

A Bonkers Beginning to a New Paranormal Series

If you’re in the mood for a bonkers paranormal romance, Robyn Peterman has you covered.

In an attempt to quit smoking for good, Astrid goes to a hypnotist.

The good news: After being hypnotized, she no longer feels compelled to pick up cigarettes.

The bad news: She just so happens to be a Vampyre now.

As if that isn’t a startling enough change, Astrid wakes up to find a Guardian Angel, who’s modeled her earthly presence after Oprah, and a Fairy, who just so happens to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger and wants to teach her how to fight, now visiting her home.

Something’s up with her best friend; different Vampyre houses are trying to recruit her; and she feels overwhelmingly attracted to a Vampyre that she’s pretty sure is a bad guy.

There are other things afoot, too, because of course there are (like things weren’t already kooky enough).

This is the first book in what I’m sure is a bonkers series.

My take: If you’re in the mood for something over-the-top, this just may be the book for you. I liked Astrid. She wants to do the right thing—even though she does get a bit distracted sometimes. The found family is a plus. I liked how more and more connections are revealed as the story progresses. And the chemistry between Astrid and her love interest is off-the-charts.

Give yourself a few chapters to get into the book. Look: Pam, the Guardian Angel, is A LOT, and she has a seriously foul mouth. (Consider yourself warned.)

I liked the book more once Astrid moves into the Vampyre mansion.

I enjoyed the audiobook version of this one. Jessica Almasy’s narration is a ton of fun, and I liked her vocal choices for most of the characters. I did not love her portrayal of Pam, though. Like I mentioned earlier, Pam on her own is A LOT. Pam’s personality and colorful language combined with the narrator’s portrayal were a bit too much for me. All-in-all, though, it is a fun audiobook, and I’m curious to see where Perterman takes this story.

I received a copy of the audiobook from Hambright PR. All review opinions are my own.

An unlikely friendship forged in Fiji when they both needed it most leads to a son neither of them expected and a second chance at love in The Bride’s Runaway Billionaire.

Emma Monroe, of viral video fame, meets Jonas Rutherford, of Razzle Dazzle fame, while both are hiding out in Fiji. She’s running from the dramatic discoveries she learned at her wedding. He’s hiding from the public after details of his recent divorce were plastered across the media. They may seem like unlikely friends, but they form a strong connection in a short period of time. After spending a night together, he ends up ghosting her.

But he left a little something behind.

Fast forward a couple of years, and Jonas shows up in her hometown looking to meet his toddler son.

Emma has been burned before, though, so she’s slow to invite anyone into her son’s life and into her heart.

At a glance:
- Dual POV (+ a bonus epilogue from a third POV)
- Second chance after a vacation fling
- Celebrity romance
- He’s an actor from a very famous family
- Small town
- Found family
- Secret baby—but not one she tried to hide—who readers meet as a toddler
- Single parent

Read it for
- Yolko Ono, a one-legged, white Silkie chicken
- A visit with beloved characters from the other Three BFFs and a Wedding books and from The Last Eligible Billionaire
- The protectiveness of the family / found family and how they support each other
- A hot tub scene that ends in an unexpected way

This one is narrated by Connor Crais and Savannah Peachwood. They always do a great job; if you pick this one up, you’re in for an enjoyable listen.

She’s always been a rule follower, and he’s known for breaking them.

The last thing Laney expects to be tasked with at her best friend’s wedding is babysitting the bride’s older brother, but here she is sharing a room with him. And spending most of her time with him. And learning that he’s not the person she always believed him to be.

He’s much more.

At a glance:
- Dual POV
- Destination wedding in Hawaii
- Best friend’s brother
- Forced proximity
- Enemies-to-lovers
- Teenage crush
- Only one bed
- Opposites attract
- Kittens!

Read it for:
- The banter
- Theo’s huge heart
- And his sense of humor
- Laney learning to let go
- I did mention the kittens, right?
- The scene with a pig
- The laugh-out-loud moments
- The 🔥 tension and chemistry between Laney and Theo

I loved the narration by Kit Swann and Ryan West. They captured Laney and Theo perfectly. I highly recommend listening to this one on audio.

Stick around for the bonus epilogue; it made me cackle.
