I am looking forward to continuing this series. I think the ending gave me goosebumps. So action packed from about 65% on I couldn’t put it down! Loved the last couple of chapters and all the “reveals” and details.

Beautiful

That left me with a smile on my face. The audio/narration was absolute perfection 5+ stars for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the slow burn even though that was the slowest of burns I’ve ever read 400+ pages for!! Can’t wait to read more by Maria Zapata !

Purfect for animal lovers of all kinds

I loved it, the characters’ quirky personalities were just my type. Reminded me of Hazel and Josh in Christina Lauren’s romcom and of Kristen in Abby Jimenez’s romcom (The Friend Zone). I love a FMC who is eccentric and unique and while I’m not a big cat lover (dog fan here) I do love animals of all kinds so this was just so enjoyable with all the pun! Easy to binge the audiobook and looking forward to reading more by this author!

Perfect Audio

The audio was truly perfect ! Really felt like the story was half baked though, it needed more editing and more depth in my opinion. The writing was beautiful just like To Kill a Mockingbird was, but this one just read as unfinished.

Beauty & The Beast

I found the underlying theme of Beauty and the Beast to be so interesting that I couldn't stop reading many nights into the late hours! "She could be the one to break the spell" as the movie quote goes :)

There were some secondary characters that I really loved and would like to see more of. The female lead grows stronger after about 200 pages and her character overall was enjoyable but frustrating in her relationship with the male lead. I think the action in the second half of the book really made the story worth 4 stars overall. It would have been great if there were a male and female narrator!

Totally Wild Ride !

The audio of this book was perfect! What a wild story! It will have you saying WTF often. That ending was perfect! I finished in just 2 days because I needed to know what would happen. It will have you saying you can't stop till all is revealed.

If you like stories similar to You and Gone Girl this book is for you! I found it totally skin crawling at times and also laugh out loud funny at times. The internal thoughts of both main characters really made them witty or unhinged in their own respective ways.

I'd give it a small warning for some graphic details to those who are sensitive to that, but it really adds to the creepy level and authenticity of the novel as a psychological thriller.

The narration was perfect! I had a physical copy of the book I read along with and I just felt the audible added a layer to the feelings involved. Simon was even more loveable as a character with the audio version!

Brilliantly Written & Performed

I thought the narration was spot on, I especially loved the tone/accent for Boris! It was a great book, one that I am sure will be considered great literary fiction for college students to disect themes and meanings from in the future. The story was just not for me overall, that is why I would give it between 3 and 4 stars. I just felt very sad maybe even a depressed, hopeless kind of feeling while reading it. The deep meaning was not lost on me, I just wasn't expecting it to be so dark and full of loss and sadness. Still excellent writing and narration!

Sweet Summer Read

I found the story to be very innocent and sweet, I enjoyed most the way the story jumped back and forth through time. The narration was great, I am a faster reader though so I listened on 1.30x speed. This would have made a great beach book or summer read.
