Historia
Private Investigator Sam Dyke turns down a job that would require skills that he doesn't have - patience, computer-literacy, tact. Then he finds that the skills he does have - tenacity, aggression, street-smarts - are exactly the ones he needs for his next case - hunting down a cold-blooded murderer who seems to know what his every step will be.

American narrator for British book? Awful.

Elvis Cole meets England
Revisado: 01-30-23
Overall this was a good story, but I cannot understand the use of an Voice Actor with an American Accent to Narrate what should be a British Accent. I kept having to remind myself this was talking place in England and not in L.A., Chicago or any other American City. I feel like the storyline lost its intrigue about 3/4 of the way through. That’s probably just me. I gave it 3 Stars Overall because there were parts I enjoyed and parts I did not.

Historia
Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

Really?
Revisado: 02-12-18
Would you try another book from A. J. Finn and/or Ann Marie Lee?
I'm in section 14, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it's taking so freaking long to get to something suspenseful? It's like "The Hook" is missing from this.
Has The Woman in the Window turned you off from other books in this genre?
I'm used to a little more action, suspense, something that makes me want to listen more.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ann Marie Lee?
No.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I'm not sure i'm going to be able to finish it.
Any additional comments?
I'm very disappointed. I was so hoping that this would be a great departure from my normal purchases.

Wish I was done already
Revisado: 10-26-14
What would have made The Cuckoo's Calling better?
Shorten it by about 5 hours. Do not give so many mindless details. Put some danger or suspense in it.
Has The Cuckoo's Calling turned you off from other books in this genre?
No
Have you listened to any of Robert Glenister’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. Big Time
Any additional comments?
The Narration is Excellent. This is a Mystery/Thriller. The two main Characters are great, but it just seems that the Writer brings so many people into the Plot, and almost tries to over develop them. I'm not finished yet, and I'm usually able to get into a Story, but this is just dragging on and on and on. The overall Plot is worthy of a Book. But give us some Suspense, anything that would keep us wanting to come back. I realize I am way in the Minority with this Review. I guess i'm too used to Harry Bosch, Jack Reacher, Lincoln Rhymes, The Lincoln Lawyer Series, Elvis Cole, and those type Characters and Writing. I'm interested enough to listen to the end, simply because I have so much time invested, and I do care about the two main Characters. I'd also like to know who killed Lula.
