Historia
What is the nature of unidentified aerial phenomena? Forty years ago a small cadre of dedicated researchers began actively investigating cases, interviewing witnesses, and exchanging data through a small, informal network of international contacts. Today this low-profile network, or "invisible college", has grown into a larger, multination volunteer research effort joined by many individuals. But the questions first raised 40 years ago remain current - and unanswered.

This guy reading this book is just awful. His voice hurts my ears. Why is it these books are always getting the worst possible person to read the thing?

Historia
Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man—a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness. Now, he is going to prove that for him, there's no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.

The Gray Man is badass.
Revisado: 06-04-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I enjoyed this book and the character although the guy is just too over the top.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I wouldn't change the story. The writer did a great job. I sincerely enjoy the story and look forward to other Gray Man books.
What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?
I generally don't have a problem with most of the performers on these audio books. They all have wonderful voices.....well most of them and Jay Snyder has a pleasant and compelling way of performing and I enjoyed his work.
Could you see The Gray Man being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I could see the Gray Man becoming a series of movies. The question is, do you want them to be serious films or perhaps with a little humor? You would need someone with a special charisma to play the Gray Man so using any of the younger generation of actors is out. You also don't want Tom Cruise but oddly I could see him in this role.
Any additional comments?
Gray Man Drinks Gray Goose.

Historia
A mysterious incident in Russia, a blip buried in the news - it’s the only warning humanity receives that civilization will soon be destroyed by a single, voracious virus that creates monsters of men. A lawyer, still grieving over the death of his young wife, begins to write as a form of therapy. But he never expected that his anonymous blog and journal would ultimately record humanity’s last days. Governments scramble to stop the zombie virus, people panic, so-called Safe Havens are established, the world erupts into chaos; soon it’s every man, woman, and child for themselves.

My Second Favorite Zombie Book Behind WWZ.
Revisado: 06-04-13
Would you listen to The Beginning of the End again? Why?
YES! I will listen to it again. This story captured me from the first 10 minutes. The story is one of the better of the genre. Next to WWZ it's going to be difficult to find a better zombie book and I love zombie stories.
The performer was excellent. He has a very distinct voice that works for the listener. He captures you with his performance and makes you feel as though you are there.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Luculus the Cat! That poor little guy.
Which scene was your favorite?
I actually loved the beginning of the book when things were falling apart.
Any additional comments?
It's my second favorite Zombie book behind the master classic World War Z.

Historia
In the near future, at a moment no one will notice, all the dazzling technology that runs our world will unite and turn against us. Taking on the persona of a shy human boy, a childlike but massively powerful artificial intelligence known as Archos comes online and assumes control over the global network of machines that regulate everything from transportation to utilities, defense and communication.

I Loved this Story!
Revisado: 06-04-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Robopocalypse to be better than the print version?
I think this was a perfect book for audio and the performance was exceptional.
What other book might you compare Robopocalypse to and why?
The author obviously has a good mind for robotics and I just loved the story and was entertained the entire time. This does remind me of an article written the Bill Joy and how we need to be careful about A.I. and Robotics.
Have you listened to any of Mike Chamberlain’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was the first time for me to listen to Mr Chamberlain and I have to say he is magnificent. I really enjoyed listening to him.
If you could rename Robopocalypse, what would you call it?
Beware of the A.I.
Any additional comments?
Much like one of my other favorite books "Word War Z", I believe it's going to be very difficult to create a movie from this book. It's not just told from one perspective and no movie will be able meet your own imagination. I suggest listening to the book.

Historia
America is falling, ready to join the Roman Empire as a distant memory in the annals of history. The year is 2027. Tired and desperate, the American people are deep in the middle of The Second Great Depression. The Florida coastline is in ruins from the most powerful hurricane on record; a second just like it is bearing down on the state of Texas. For the first time in history, the Middle East has united as one and amassed the most formidable army the world has seen since the Third Reich.

Entertaining Story but not very realistic.
Revisado: 06-04-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I enjoyed listening to this book and will listen to the series as I have many questions about what's next? Although I enjoyed this book very much I don't think it is a very realistic scenario. If you have ever read or listened to "One Second After" or "Patriots" those are more realistic. Still I do like what I have heard so far.
Have you listened to any of David Gilmore’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I like Mr Gilmore's delivery. I found him to be an entertaining performer.
Did Collapse inspire you to do anything?
I think we should all prepare and be ready for whatever is coming. The US economy is teetering on a fine line right now.
