Everything is racist
Revisado: 11-12-18
I was really intrigued by the premise and being an Offerman fan I thought I would enjoy it. But the production quality of the audio was borderline amateur podcast poor. Then the everythings racist chapter started and it really lost me. It turned into an overly liberal diatribe that Im frankly tired of hearing. 5 min of it sure thats relevant for the topic but it just went on and on with zero interesting or new points being made. I tried skiping through the rest of the book but I just found it to have deviated from the twain feast to how the chef changed the recipe. I stopped listening and deleted it from my library

Historia
Our ancestors crossed deserts, mountains, and oceans without even a whisper of what anyone today might consider modern technology. Those feats of endurance now seem impossible in an age where we take comfort for granted. But what if we could regain some of our lost evolutionary strength by simulating the environmental conditions of our forbears? Investigative journalist and anthropologist Scott Carney takes up the challenge to find out: Can we hack our bodies and use the environment to stimulate our inner biology?

Was great until the author went off the deep end
Revisado: 09-11-18
The core topic of the book is good. The author got all political in the end and frankly now spoiled the book. If you dont bother with the epilog its an interesting read

Historia
In The Influential Mind, neuroscientist Tali Sharot takes us on a thrilling exploration of the nature of influence. We all have a duty to affect others - from the classroom to the boardroom to social media. But how skilled are we at this role, and can we become better? It turns out that many of our instincts - from relying on facts and figures to shape opinions, to insisting others are wrong or attempting to exert control - are ineffective because they are incompatible with how people's minds operate.

Historia
How to Be Like is a "character biography" series: biographies that also draw out important lessons from the life of their subjects. In this new book - by far the most exhaustive in the series - Pat Williams tackles one of the most influential people in recent history. While many recent biographies of Walt Disney have reveled in the negative, this audiobook takes an honest but positive look at the man behind the myth. For the first time, the book pulls together all the various strands of Disney's life into one straightforward, easy-to-listen-to tale.

loved it
Revisado: 02-12-18
Great book ! A must read for anyone that is a fan of Walt Disney. This book takes you through his triumphs and challenges. I got the chance to go to the Disney family museum in San Francisco and this book was very much like taking the tour all over again. Any one who has been to Disneyland will recognize the narrator.
