Historia
After escaping to the garden for a reprieve from the stuffy ballroom, Miss Evelyn Trainor bumps into a handsome stranger through a hedge. When he boldly requests an introduction, she lies and tells him a fake name, Lady Eve, positive she’ll never see him again. But when she returns to the country for Christmas and finds her handsome stranger — the Duke of Alverton — has moved in next door for the holidays, she does what she must to guard her secret.

Sweet Christmas Story!
Revisado: 11-12-23
A sweet Regency Christmas story. I enjoyed both characters struggling to find peace in their own place as they drew closer to one another.

Historia
Pretending to be her sister, Hope Everly finds an adventure, at last. The Caribbean's warm waters and tropical islands fulfill nearly all her dreams. When an excursion to visit another island with a naturalist expedition is interrupted by a storm, Hope is stranded on a desert island where she and her fellow castaways are dependent on a handsome stranger for their survival. Alejandro Córdoba, trapped and alone on the island long enough to give up all dreams of rescue, knows nothing of what has become of his war-torn homeland or his family.

Highly Recommended
Revisado: 01-07-20
Sally Britton has such a marvelous way of creating likable characters. Hope has already been introduced to the readers, so her spunk and spontaneity is no surprise. What is a surprise is the degree she will go to find adventure and not be boxed in by others. Hope is bound for the Caribbean, which would be the trip of a lifetime, but she is going as Grace, her twin sister. Despite her dishonest approach, I could not help but cheer for her and Alejandro. They are both bound by familial and societal constraints, which threaten to derail the tender love match they have built. This is a wonderful continuation of the Inglewood series. I highly recommend Saving Miss Everly.

Historia
A third son to an earl, Adam Gillensford knows his only hope of an inheritance is through his great uncle. But when the Will is read, Adam learns most of the wealth has been left to a complete stranger, and a seamstress at that. If he hopes to salvage any kind of funds for himself, he has two choices: adhere to his late uncle’s wishes and assist the new heiress in finding her way, or sabotage her so the courts will find her unfit to inherit. Deciding his course would be easier if the heiress wasn’t so enchanting.

His Unexpected Heiress 5 Stars
Revisado: 12-18-19
A delightful twist on the expected rules of inheritance during a rather particular period. Elaine has a sweet, brave heart and willingly cares for others. She is used to working hard and doing things that may be seen as a bit unconventional. Accepting a large inheritance from a man she barely knew draws her into a new life that she has knowledge of, but not the experience or connections to succeed. Until Adam volunteers his time and expertise. Adam helps her navigate this new status and acclimate to the people and responsibilities a position of wealth requires. Along the way they build a friendship that seems sure, until Adam’s secret comes to light. I love the way their friendship slowly builds into more and culminates with them learning how to trust one another. If you enjoy clean, sweet regency romances, then this book is for you.
