Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

A really engrossing read.
Revisado: 04-05-15
Enjoyed all the twists and turns. Interesting story up till the last. The only thing I didn't like was the hopping all over the place- a couple times hard to follow, but generally loved it.

Historia
There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Historia
Anais Nin is undoubtedly a great writer. In Delta of Venus she welcomes us into a world of new experiences where she demands that 'sex be mixed with tears, laughter, promises....new faces, dancing and wine.' This ground breaking collection of stories explores aspects of female sexuality long unexposed until Anais opened what she herself was to call 'that Pandora's box.' It is brave, fearless and compelling.

I couldn't make it through.
Revisado: 08-24-12
Would you try another book from Anais Nin and/or Ingrid Pitt?
I don't think I would try any others. After reading reviews and having it suggested, I really tried to get through it. I just couldn't get past the narration. Sometimes it just ruins the story.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narration was the worst part. Annoying.. I deleted it before I could get through 30 minutes.

Unexpected and I really liked it...
Revisado: 08-24-12
Would you listen to A Discovery of Witches again? Why?
I would listen to it again...I really liked it. After listening to the second in the series, I appreciated this one more. It was more concise, had a few twists and turns that weren't expected. Made me interested in some history that I never knew existed. Quite good!
What did you like best about this story?
All of the characters and that, for the most part, it wasn't predictable.
Have you listened to any of Jennifer Ikeda’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I had never listened to Jennifer before, but I liked her story telling and characterizations. Very good, and I would seek her out again.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I tried to listen to it all in one sitting, but couldn't manage it for being busy. I finished it in a couple of days though.

Historia
Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. As the search for Ashmole 782—the lost and enchanted manuscript whose mystery first pulled Diana and Matthew into one another's orbit—deepens and Diana seeks out a witch to tutor her in magic, the net of Matthew's past tightens around them.

I really wanted to love it...
Revisado: 08-24-12
Would you listen to Shadow of Night again? Why?
I wouldn't listen to it again...I really wanted to love it, but it wasn't even close to the thought out story of the first book that held my attention. It hopped all over the place to make sense of what it needed to explain.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
I knew there would have to be another book - the ending was expected.
Have you listened to any of Jennifer Ikeda’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
She's good. I would listen to her again.

Need a new voice!
Revisado: 05-29-12
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I liked the story, but since I listen while on the road it was difficult as the narrator sounded like she was whispering whenever she would switch characters- annoying.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Whispering when switching characters. Ruined it for me.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

Cute Story
Revisado: 01-16-12
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I was looking for something a little bit lighter and fun after some heavy topics. This definitely hit the mark. I had read the reviews and wasn't disappointed. Some parts had me actually LOLing. I liked it enough to download the second one which I'm currently enjoying.
What three words best describe Amanda Ronconi’s voice?
Southern, entertaining, fitting
Was Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs worth the listening time?
Definitely worth a listen
