Historia
It is 997 CE, the end of the Dark Ages. England is facing attacks from the Welsh in the west and the Vikings in the east. Those in power bend justice according to their will, regardless of ordinary people and often in conflict with the king. Without a clear rule of law, chaos reigns. In these turbulent times, three characters find their lives intertwined.

Revisado: 02-16-21
this is my 4th time reading through The Lord Of The Rings. Every new read proves more interesting than the last. I love these books dearly, and there is a good reason J.R.R Tolkien's works are considered to be the progenitor of high fantasy storytelling.

The bible of middle earth
Revisado: 11-08-20
It can be a bit jarring when trying to keep up with the myriad of names being thrown at you. Once you get a handle on that you are immersed in a story so rich with detail you become enamored with the sheer depth of lore that Tolkien has crafted for Middle Earth.

Drizzt and Catti-brie have been away from Mithral Hall for six long years, but the pain of a lost companion still weighs heavily on their strong shoulders. Chasing pirates aboard Captain Deudermont's Sea Sprite is enough to draw their attention away from their grief. Then a mysterious castaway on an uncharted island sends them back to the very source of their pain, and into the clutches of a demon with vengeance on his mind.

been there done that
Revisado: 06-04-19
redundant and repetative this book doesn't do anything interesting or groundbreaking that hasn't been done in previous books. instead it opts to recycle plotlines near verbatim and undo some of the truly shocking portions of the sereies. every plotpoint can be guessed as it is revealed. and the stories big surprise is so glaringly obvious you will say "well no shit" when it is actually revealed. The worst book in the series thus far.

An Ending to Satisfy.
Revisado: 04-14-19
This has been one of the best series of books hell one of the best stories that I have ever heard in my life. I questioned going into this series if it was worth the effort to go through all 15 books. Having finished the series one year after I started i can undoubtedly say "it was worth it". Like any story there are points where it stumbles and the ending does draw on some deus ex machina aspects. But never enough were I wasn't enthralled by what was happening. I always found myself wanting more. In the end Memories of Light bring the story to a satisfying conclusion, and I definitely recommend anyone to give this book and series a try.

Incredible transitioning
Revisado: 02-18-19
Brandon Sanderson does Robert Jordan's vision justice. Actually he not only does the series justice but The Gathering Storm may actually be the best book in the series thus far. Multiple times I found myself audibly gasping and cheering at the twists and turns The Gathering Storm takes. I haven't been this invested in a book since I read Lord of The Rings over 20 years ago. I'm so eager to immediately jump into the next book once I submit this review.
