So far, this is my favorite in this series. The characters are established and moving the romance forward along with the overarching plot. Fun/mind-screwy juxtaposition of the supernatural world and the real world. Great narration. Fun story, excited for the next in the series.

Enjoyable story, believable characters. Most of the familial relationships were supportive and healthy, but there is some parental rejection/homophobia included as well as forced outing via nonconsensual sex pictures, so if those things are an issue, this might not be the book for you. Overall it was a cute coming of age best friends to lovers romance. The narration wasn't my cup of tea, but as far as inflection and differentiating character voices it was good.

Loved this book. The characters were interesting and likable and the historical aspects were fun to read. The romance wasn't quite as fluffy as I usually expect from this author, but that wasn't a bad thing. While the story was heavier than I was expecting, it had a good balance of unpleasant historical elements/morality laws and sweet/happy moments despite adversity. The more serious tone worked for this book. Great narration. Would recommend.

Fun characters in an interesting setting. I enjoyed the way this series has characters and settings that cross over into other series by this author. It is packed with action, adventure, romance and mystery. I'm a sucker for childhood friends turned lovers and this ome also had a bit of a rival/enemy to lover twist. Very interesting magic system and loads of fantasy critters. Great narration.

I enjoyed the story and seeing the two leads save the day and find acceptance for every part of themselves. It does end on a cliffhanger, bit the next book is available, so that's not a huge deal. Interesting world building, fun read.

Interesting turn to the story

I've been enjoying these dragons. Interesting story, definitely had some more intense moments and aspects that touched on major trauma, so mind the trigger warnings. Those aspects were handled with care. Quite the adventure and I'm excited to see what comes next in the series.
