This is a story about an amazing man. Yet it is also everyone's story about belief - how it begins, how it grows, and the struggles associated with it. Walking from East to West is a heartfelt personal story of one man's discovery that God is the author of our destinies, no matter how dark the shadows that hide the light.

Historia
Ravi Zacharias and Vince Vitale defend the absolute claims of Christ against modern belief in the "secular gods" of atheism, scientism, relativism, and more. The rise of these secular gods presents the most serious challenge to the absolute claims of Christ since the founding of Christianity itself. The Christian worldview has not only been devalued and dismissed by modern culture, but its believers are openly ridiculed as irrelevant. This audiobook is fresh, insightful, and important, and faces head on today's most urgent challenges to Christian faith.

Historia
On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

Historia
Recovering Redemption. What does it mean? Recovering: Getting back, restoring. Redemption: God’s plan of salvation, the gospel. Because we have a tendency to drift from the gospel, we must be reoriented back to the gospel. We must recover a right understanding and application of the gospel. We must see that the gospel is the fuel for salvation and sanctification and the panacea to fix all things. The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

Historia
One of the greatest crimes of this generation of Christians is its neglect of the Gospel, and it is from this neglect that all our other maladies spring forth. Absent from too many pulpits are the essential themes that make up the very core of the Gospel: the justice of God, the radical depravity of man, the blood atonement. In The Gospel's Power and Message, Paul Washer addresses these essential elements of Christ's good news and provides a guide to help us rediscover the Gospel in all its beauty, scandal, and saving power.

Historia
Jesus was most upset at people for seeing but not seeing. For succumbing to the danger and idolatry of forcing God into preconceived human ideals. But what if there were a better way? What if Jesus came not to help people escape the world but instead to restore it? It's Not What You Think tells the familiar stories of the scripture in a radically new light, presenting God's unchanging truths from the Old and New Testaments as the challenging story that it is: a mysterious, compelling narrative with God at the center.

Great & Humble Teaching
Revisado: 01-21-16
Would you consider the audio edition of It's Not What You Think to be better than the print version?
Only listened to the audio version so it is hard to say which is better.
What did you like best about this story?
The honesty and humility of Jeff Bethke is refreshing and encouraging. I am inspired by his brutal honesty regarding his own weaknesses and the liberation and strength he found in Jesus Christ.
What about Jefferson Bethke’s performance did you like?
I like how he read his own book and did not recruit another voice. From seeing his Youtube videos I knew his voice already. It was reassuring and comforting that the words spoken were from his heart and not simply words recited theatrically from a page.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"Delusions of Youth Exposed" or "Easy to Believe Fallacies"
Any additional comments?
Love Jeff and Alyssa as my brother and sister in-Christ. Excited about tomorrow knowing there are young adults that are dedicating their lives to making Jesus Christ known to the world and giving God glory, praise and honor for which only He is due.
