Jhara book 6 is one of the longer books, 457 pages, in Debbie Manber Kupfer's P.A.W.S. series. I received an audio copy of the book and enjoyed the relaxing narration by Patti Hunninghake. She does a very good job and has a nice flow to her narration.

It had been a while since I read any of the P.A.W.S. series and once I began to read I remembered how much I had enjoyed the characters and Ms. Manber Kupfer's writing. I was excited right away when the narrator brought up the subject of weather mages but a little bit disappointed that Sandy and her weather magic wasn't brought up util later in the story. Argentia, the silver fairy is front and center at the beginning of the story and her ability to prophesize about Jenny and a few others at P.A.W.S. Jamie has been missing and had been with Frederick and the werewolf pack but he's finally able to makes his way back to P.A.W.S. The werewolves, Frederick, Ruvin are the main focus the first third of the book and then goes on to bring in the weather mages by chapter 36. This may not be an exciting review but I hate spoilers and this story is so good I don't want to spoil it.

If you haven't started the series anyone interested in fantasy and ever wanting to go to a magic school will love the books. Personally I'd love to choose my own animal form and shift into it at will. The series is geared more toward teens and young adults and this is a story the whole family can enjoy.

I was given a free audio copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This is a review for both audio and ebook. Masterpiece by Janet Pywell and narrated by Ink Arnadine. Ink
Arnadine is perfect for narrating this fast-pace international mystery. Her use of different inflections for each character is done so well and I love how her narration speeds up as the tale get more intense, her cadence perfect. Masterpiece is the beginning of the Mikky dos Santos Thrillers which follows a master art forger, Mikky. Book 1 set the backdrop for this thrilling series, set in the international art world of buyers, sellers and thieves. Janet does a great job filling us in on Mikky's childhood, which plays an important part in her books. Mikky's relationship with her mother is touchy but this also lends itself to the tough no non-sense personality creating the morally grey person I love to cheer for, Mikky. Get ready for a roller-coaster ride with Mikky as she tries to figure-out her life in the world of art forgery.

Dragonfly in the Land of the Sleeping Giants, book 4 by Resa Nelson is a wonderful culmination to this series and gives us all the answers to those questions we've been asking all along. You get to find out what happened to Findehurst and you come to understand what all the prophecies have been about. Red feather goes through a major transformation. There's so much excitement and adventure between Greeta and Freyka I couldn't believe what was happening.
Ms. Nelson did an excellent job creating a realistic world in a fantastic environment with giants, dragons, and shapeshifters. You will not be disappointed in the ending. I received a copy of the audio from StoryOrigin in exchange for an honest review.

I am reviewing the ebook "Cotula (The P.A.W.S. Saga #5)" and Audible audiobook. The narration is very good, by Christopher Goodrich. He does a wonderful job with the different inflections in his voice to represent all the characters and the situations. I love the fact that Debbie Manber-Kupfer takes the time to explore each or her characters and drawn them out in the P.A.W.S. adventure. Her world building fascinating. This is book 5 in the series and is as entertaining as the rest. They are great reads for middle school kids and older. Rifka is on her own and dropped off by Frederick to another family to employ her and look after her. We get to see how she navigates her life and tries to see who's on her side to help. Rifka is such an innocent she's quite young too. Paws is able to lend a hand, but trouble shows its head. Many of the other characters continue to help Rifka, Sherlie the Camel is mentioned, Danny, and so many more but others try to hinder like Morganna, Stella, and the Tegs. Will all the Cotula stones show up to help release Rifka? Will she really be able to escape. This is a must read in the series and my favorite in the series so far.

The narrator Gabrielle Baker is very good at her craft and easy to understand. Book two, 'Into The Dark' by Serene Conneeley is where the story really takes off. Book one, Into The Mist, spent a lot of time on Carlie's anger and grief. With 'Into The Dark' she is finally accepting of her grandmother Rose with the help of a new friend Rhianna. She starts to fit in and spend time at her grandmother's healing and crystal center. Carlie opens up to nature rituals, and the esoteric. In this book we see Carlie start to discover her new life and her grandmother Rose. This is a good book to see the continuations of Carlie's healing and the power of coming out of her grief. More esoteric and mystical happenings appear around Carlie and in her dreams and a stronger connection with her friend Rhianna begins. But can all of this go sideways, we will have to see how Carlie handles difficulties in book three. A good book for teen or adult readers.

Not what I expected

The narrator Gabrielle Barker did a fine job. Being from the U.S. I had no problem understanding her British accent. Her inflection was perfect and her voice for different characters nice. So what did I expect? The audiobook deals with a teen age girl who's has to go live with her grandma in London after her parents died in a car wreck. The story is more about a hurting teen in a strange town with strangers and leaving all her friends behind in Australia. This could be a very good book for anyone dealing with loss and extreme change. I did expect more fantasy or magic. The magic, not to sound boring, was more common place with crystal shops, new age witches and incense shops. Carley the young girl experienced a lot of dreams where she was given messages, and she has a sensitivity to energies in the village where her grandmother Rose lives. Carley has a hard time adjusting to her surroundings and just as hard a time accepting her Rose.
I found the story warm hearted with the gift of learning how to greave and acceptance. It's a nice story but if your are looking for fantasy then there other books that fit the bill much better. If you are looking for a story about grief and acceptance, starting over and being young this is perfect. The author is good at world building and character development. A good book to listen to with lots of free time to spare.

This is a review for the audiobook 'Dragonfly in the Land of Swamp Dragons' by Resa Nelson. Resa's narration did seem a bit slower and not as confident as the first two audio books but this did not deter me from enjoying the audiobook. After listening to the third installment of this series I was amazed at the authors imagination. Some writers seem to get stuck in an old repetitive pattern or genre, not Resa Nelson. Her world building is wonderful and I can visualize all details of every scene. Her characters change and mature in each book. Each one is like seeing their world through different eyes. Greeta, the main character, questions herself and is trying to find out how she fits in with the Shining Star people and all the nations plus how to shift into her dragon form. Finehurts is still up to no good and a real pain in the A**. There is so much more to Red Feather then she ever knew and what is he doing with the swamp people. The book is exciting, adventuresome with plenty of drama. You will not be disappointed with the quality of this story and you're sure to enjoy the foreign world that Resa Nelson has created.

The author, Resa Nelson, does another amazing job of narration. The cadence and interpretation is wonderful and the story a joy to listen too.

We see the adventure take off in book two of 'Dragonfly - in the Land of Ice'. They are in the northland now with Grerta and her family who are replaying a favor by helping relatives in the northlands. Freika, a village girl, comes across rough and hard and is suspicious of Greeta, she eventually almost begrudgingly becomes friends with Greeta. This book is about the two girls harrowing tale into the northland with the Ice dragons, a captured dragon goddesses and Findehurst. The Nordic like and Tribal worldbuilding keeps this book so relatable that I feel myself traveling along with Greeta. Greeta dream travels, talks with her ancestors and leans much during her dream time. Magic tapestries, shapeshifters and dragons are woven into the story, it's as if everyone is traveling through our world but in another dimension. Book two is exciting and the story goes by way too fast. I wanted it to continue but I'll have to pick up the next audio book. If you enjoy dragon fantasy audiobooks or want to try out the fantasy genre put this series on your list.

This review is for the audio book by Resa Nelson "Dragonfly". The author does a wonderful job of narration and it is always lovely to listen to a writer read their own works. They know exactly how they want to present the intonation of the novel.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, I didn't read the clip about it, but it was quite different for me. On the surface I thought I was reading a novel about an American indigenous tribe and Nordic people as the main theme but as it moved along I realized it unfolded into something quite different. Yes the tribal theme continues and it seemed a bit slow at first but Ms. Nelson was setting the stage for the series. I so enjoyed listening to the book that time flew. I'm glad I have book 2 queued up. Do give this a try, no disappointment here.

The story is interesting but it was easier to read the book than lister to the book because I could not understand the narrator (Georgie Leonard). I usually can pick up an accent pretty well but this was so difficult for me to listen to, I had to really concentrate to understand her. Read the book instead if you have problems with accents, unless your British. I also find I can read faster than the narrator speaking.
The book Moroda by L.L. Mcneil is a dragon adventure, it's interesting but lacks description and action. The world is rather medieval which can be interesting but book fell flat for me.
