Historia
Since the beginning of humanity, people have recognized the distinct creation of the male and female gender in God's design. But with today's gender revolution, people are increasingly questioning who they are designed to be. In our society, gender identity has been divorced from biology and rerooted in psychology. Do the core teachings of the Bible uphold these modern ideas?

Great hopeful book, with one caveat
Revisado: 03-17-25
I appreciated the insight into psychology and biblical context to gender dysphoria. However, as a public school teacher I was disheartened that the author presumed public schools are teaching students to think this way or helping it along. There was no citation of sources, and it seems the author is following the Court of public opinion and stating it as reality in this case. Public schools do not teach anything about sexuality. Teachers follow the parents’ lead, 100%. Schools don’t have plans to affirm your child’s chosen gender without your knowledge, but will obey doctor’s orders. Let’s not look for someone to blame. Social media is mostly to blame- kids talking to each other on devices when they should be talking to family or sleeping.

Great book, off-putting narration
Revisado: 06-16-24
I am reading this book in print, but needed to be able to listen to parts so I can get through faster. Unfortunately, the narrator is quite robotic and the voice has no feeling of a storyteller. It doesn’t seem like the reader cares about the story.
This is sad because the book is fascinating when I read it to myself. I will still finish listening, but this is a book I would have wanted to hear repeatedly if it had a better reader.

Historia
Everyone knows at least one person who demonstrates toxic love, someone who consistently jabs a straw in others and sucks the life right out of them. Without an in-depth understanding of how to navigate these relationships, most people continue to emotionally regress and remain paralyzed in familiar, pain-soaked patterns. But Your Mother Loves You helps listeners overcome this cycle. Kim Honeycutt shares the real-life experience of how a shame-based, self-destructive little girl grew up to be a recovered alcoholic and entered the world of psychology as a professional....

I almost stopped reading a couple times, and took a couple breaks. This story might at first make you feel like it’s yet another “my childhood is to blame” story, and that isn’t one hundred percent untrue. But it’s so much more- a story of how Good works in our lives. Slowly and perfectly.

Wonderful, except for the voice!
Revisado: 11-08-22
There was absolutely no need to read chapter names at the start of each track on this. Kind of negates the whole purpose of white noise for SLEEP.
