Grips your interest
Revisado: 12-29-23
Great overall story with lots of mini mysteries. Gripping to the last minute. The plot, the intensity and the characters were all so relevant.

Great Action and intrigue
Revisado: 12-15-22
This story has lots of attention holding twists and turns. I am always hesitant to stop listening until I know Scott is out of trouble. I found the torture segments a little tough to get through.

Historia
In a wicked conspiracy reaching across the Mexican border, Tularosa pits a jaded ex-cop against tight-lipped Army personnel, hired thugs, and smooth-talking outlaws. Forced into retirement by a crippling gunshot wound, Santa Fe policeman Kevin Kerney seeks solitude on a small New Mexico ranch far from the nearest neighbor. But when his godson disappears without a trace into the harsh, high-security desert of the White Sands Missile Range, Kerney emerges to search for the young soldier.

Great story, so real,
Revisado: 07-27-18
I was excited to find a story with the western US as the setting. Kearney is my kind of hero. He is subtle, honest, tough, kind, committed to his beliefs, handsome in a rugged cowboy kind of way and lovable. This book has a lot to offer; if you like action, history, law enforcement, cultural awareness, detectives and romance, this is the book.

Twists and Turns
Revisado: 07-29-17
I really love this writer and and I love his Cliff Janeway character more. Also there is no better narrator than George Guidall. Get all the books in the series; they are wonderful from beginning to end.

Historia
"Sadly, death at the races is not uncommon. However, three in a single afternoon was sufficiently unusual to raise more than one eyebrow." It's the third death on Cheltenham Gold Cup Day that really troubles super-sleuth Sid Halley. Last seen in 1995's Come to Grief, former champion jockey Halley knows the perils of racing all too well but, in his day, jockeys didn't usually reach the finishing line with three .38 rounds in the chest.
