Historia
When a fragile peace breaks down and promptly devolves into a rapidly escalating shooting war between Pakistan and India, the U.S. must intervene. With only hours remaining before the conflict reaches a deadly point of no return, the White House must find a way to shut it down immediately or risk the likelihood of a new global war. A radical cleric has become the democratically elected president of Pakistan and uses a brutal incident in the Kashmir region as an opportunity to ignite war with India. The highly lethal conventional war spins out of control when Pakistan initiates a nuclear attack.

Really? U cant be serious.
Revisado: 05-24-19
The story is ok. It moves. But NOZZLE? R u kidding? All that research on weapon makes and models and you call the muzzle a fucking nozzle? It ruined the believability of the book.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Pretty good...except for...
Revisado: 06-15-18
the blatant advertising for outdoor brands like sitka, yeti, etc! dont make it so obvious! it was distracting as an outdoor enthusiast listening. there were several eye-rolling moments as the author lists the brand name of the clothing or cup or gun of his choice. it came off like a sales pitch from some hunting program on TV. other than that, predictable but good.

Okay...
Revisado: 03-13-18
I began reading this book because I enjoyed the authors other trilogy so much. this, however, did not impress me as much. although the two sagas share a basic commonality of geography, they r world's apart in substance. I found this trilogy to be lacking the same pace and in depth character development that I loved so much in the authors other books. it seemed to be targeted at a younger audience. still, NOT a bad listen

Worst book in a long time...
Revisado: 02-08-18
Literally simple-minded from the start. it wants to be a real book(blood, gore) but it then takes a turn in to some of the soppiest passages I've ever read. Seriously no consistency or pace. Story is less believable than pigs flying and it doesn't even involve magic.

Historia
Ten years after the collapse, Huxley has built a good life again. He has a loving wife, a farm with fields of golden barley, and a daughter with a strange and wonderful gift. Then the slavers come. Working out in the fields during the attack, Huxley returns too late. His daughter has been taken, and his wife is bleeding out, her last whispered words about a man with a scorpion tattoo on his neck. Where do the slavers go? Huxley has no idea. He knows only that they head east, and so will he, setting out on foot across the desert of the Wastelands.

Don't Believe The Hype!
Revisado: 06-20-17
This book is terrible in every way. The performance is overtly melodramatic. The story is disjointed and is not picturesque in the least. The metaphors are predictable. It's as if the writer is attempting depth but lacks the sensibility entirely. Oh and the grammar! Terrible! I counted at least ten manufactured words and it was quite clear what the writer meant but instead it came out like a child trying to sound older than they are. I don't write negative reviews much but this book is just bad.
