Good start to the trilogy, but not one of her best works. The ending is what has me looking forward to book 2, but before that, I wasn't necessarily thinking about the next book.

Had to keep reminding myself to breathe for the last hour of the book! Just when I thought I knew how it was going to end, Colleen's notorious "oh $#!+" moment struck again! She's thee best!

Love EVERYTHING Colleen, but this wasn't a fav

The story had a great message. I love how although all her books are romances with happy endings, they're real and relatable. This story had a great message (I'm starting to believe she's a psychologist in her other life) just isn't one of my favs. The reveal wasn't worth all the build up for me, but again, still loved it.

It felt like it took too long to get to the "story". The plot that is described in the summary didn't start until almost halfway through. Action picked up at a good point in the beginning, but after a while, I felt like I was listening the wrong book. I "put it down" for a few months, but when I came back to it, I was glad I did. Now I'll be continuing with the next book. I hope it doesn't disappoint. Overall, it is well written and the narration was good. Not one of my favs, but worth listening on.

Intense and not so predictable... thank you!

I would've given this 5 stars if the main female character didn't get on my nerves. She tried to show her strength, but kept putting herself in these stupid situations! On top of the fact that she practically let the guy she loved emotionally abuse her smh. But overall, a great book.

Cute story but predictable

The summary pretty much gives the story away. I was hoping for more than what was described, but there weren't any real surprises. Almost had a 'Sex & the City' feel... cliff notes version. I could've done without.

Love everything Colleen!

I've loved every one of her books and have yet to find an author I love nearly as much. No matter how much is given throughout the book, there's always a surprise near the end. This book make me laugh and cry and wish for more. I didn't even bother to read the summary before starting, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But as usual, she didn't disappoint.

Hard to describe...

Overall, it was a good book. The first half of the book was difficult to get passed. The inner dialogue was a little frustrating. I understand the main female character didn't talk, but even the male character spent most of the book in his head. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish between when they were thinking and when it switched to actual conversation. There were also gaps in time where the scene would just change. Little details were fed to you throughout the book, so there was no real mystery for what was going to happen at the end. But it was enjoyable once I got passed those minor nuisances.

Deep...

As usual, Colleen sweeps me away again. I caught myself holding my breath quite a few times and wanting to "yell at the screen" as if I were watching a thriller. Definitely a little different from her "norm", but still lived up to Colleen. She doesn't write books fast enough for me! Lol
