Enjoyed this book much more than any of her previous books in the Anne Hillerman part of this series. The narrator was almost to the standard of George G in Tony's books. i enjoyed his mellow tones unlike the screeching in past books when some of the female characters were speaking. i enjoy learning about the Native American culture which was my reason for starting and then rereading the entire series.

i've read all off Tony's books and absolutely love them. This is my third book written by Anne and i did enjoy it more than the first two. Lots of focus on women which i think is a bit too much for my taste. i just wish George G. was the narrator. The woman who is the reader is OK but I prefer a man's voice which is easier on the ears..

Just love listening to these mysteries and can usually follow along without doing much thinking. This book was different. It took much more thought and concentration from me than normal. The introduction gives an overview to the style of writing and I would have been much better off if I had listened carefully the first time around. I certainly recommend this book but make sure to pay attention or perhaps, like me, you will get hopelessly lost.

Enjoyed the character and story line development. I would vote for a third book in this series. The book could work very well without the repeated expletive (JESUS!!).

Changes in readers....not good

I 've been enjoying the series. Books one and two had the same reader. In book three there was a change and the voice variation was not distracting. I had difficulty listening to the reader in this book (#4). The reader's voice was clear and easy to understand but the voice was much too old for the main character who basically narrates the book. I look forward to the last book in the series because the original reader returns. The content in all four books has many twists and turns with surprising endings.

Absolute Time Waster

Didn't finish . Decided not to waste anymore time on listening after about an hour. Tried a couple of times but decided it was worthless.
