Historia
For decades Michael Savage has been preaching his political faith of borders, language, and culture to millions on his nationally syndicated radio show, The Savage Nation. Now Savage gives his audience a look into his religious faith and his ideas about the Judeo-Christian foundation of the American culture he has fought all his life to preserve. But rather than a dry, theological treatise, Savage provides something more akin to an ancient mystery text.

Spiritual Spaghetti Thrown at the Wall
Revisado: 12-28-17
I'm a Christian and a fan of books by CS Lewis, JP Moreland, and Lee Stroobel. I like Savage and anticipated the release of this book. However I was disappointed with the product. There wasn't anything in the book that was very thought provoking. Savage began to make points but always seemed to stop short of making a point that was memorable. All this reader came away with is Savage is a theist who identifies as Jewish for the most part and I already knew that.

Historia
A Tale of Two Cities is a story of love, mystery, suspense, and action all rolled up into one beautifully written novel taking place in two prominent cities, Paris and London, during the French Revolution. The story follows the release and rehabilitation of Dr. Manette, a man falsely imprisoned in the Bastille in France for almost two decades. While trouble is brewing in France with citizens being starved and taxed to death, Dr. Manette is taken to London by Mr. Lorrie, a prominent business man, and Lucie, Dr. Manette's daughter.

Wait for it...
Revisado: 12-22-17
This is the first time I've read Dickens. I struggled during the first 5-6 chapters. The method of setting the scene and introducing the characters was a bit laborious. I'm happy I stuck with it as Dickens masterfully brings the story together. the narrator did a great job. I highly recommend the book.

Historia
In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

A Historical Masterpiece
Revisado: 11-28-17
I absolutely loved this book. David McCullough masterfully blends in first hand correspondence from the period with his own narration to tell the story of the struggle of the revolution. He does this so well I could almost feel the cold of the Trenton raid and the terror of losing NY.

Historia
George Orwell depicts a gray, totalitarian world dominated by Big Brother and its vast network of agents, including the Thought Police - a world in which news is manufactured according to the authorities' will and people live tepid lives by rote. Winston Smith, a hero with no heroic qualities, longs only for truth and decency. But living in a social system in which privacy does not exist and where those with unorthodox ideas are brainwashed or put to death, he knows there is no hope for him.

A must read. The narrator was great. The story was one that will challenge one's own views on what reality is.

Historia
Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television "family."

Loved this prophetic Novel
Revisado: 08-02-17
A book published in 1951 nailed who we've become in 2017. It's scary how prophetic Bradbury was. Tim Robbins' is masterful at narrating. I'm sad I finished it.
