Historia
As Cady struggles under the enormous pressure at Harvard, she investigates her brother’s final year, armed only with a blue notebook of Eric’s cryptic scribblings. She knew he had been struggling with paranoia, delusions, and illusory enemies - but what tipped him over the edge? Voices fill her head, seemingly belonging to three ghosts who passed through the university in life, or death, and whose voices, dreams, and terrors still echo the halls. Among them is a person whose name has been buried for centuries, and another whose name mankind will never forget.

I don't recommend this book
Revisado: 08-01-24
I am over 6 hours in and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It's a struggle to keep listening because I want to see if what I think is going to happen does - but it's main character just whines constantly about her dead brother - to the point that you don't feel bad, it's just irritating! The "Ghosts" where are they going? The story is NOT good - I just really don't recommend it. It seems to drag without purpose.

Historia
When young wife and mother Tara Burke goes missing with her baby girl, all eyes are on her husband, Lucas. He paints her not as a missing person but a wayward wife — until a gruesome piece of evidence turns the investigation criminal. While Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas pursues the story and M.E. Claire Washburn harbors theories that run counter to the SFPD’s, ADA Yuki Castellano sizes Lucas up as a textbook domestic offender...who suddenly puts forward an unexpected suspect.

Worst of the series
Revisado: 12-30-21
Terrible layout of the story! You don't have to actually be law enforcement, active or retired to see all the errors! They normally make it a point to try and be accurate on so many points, but in the book drop the ball constantly! I found myself yelling at the book!
Not to mention making the characters look so wishy washy and dumb! I've never seen so much back and forth and bad writing of this series. I really don't recommend this one at all. James patterson and Maxine Paetro need to go back and listen or read it!! How can they not think it is poorly done?? "Ohh, I think he's innocent - no he a dirty scum bag - but wait, I don't think he did it" Terrible, don't waste your time.

Don't waste your money or credits on this one!
Revisado: 08-04-18
Sorry, it's a terrible story with horrible characters. It's written the way someone else thinks police officers work, think and talk. It's cheesy and corny and not in a good way. The acting of the characters is, well, terrible. Maybe it's just the characters, but the way he voices the two leads had me constantly shutting it off.
I never finished, I couldn't it was so bad - just stay away

Historia
New York Times best-selling author Nick Trout has captivated audiences with his books that take us behind the scenes into the heartwarming - and sometimes heartrending - world of veterinary medicine. In a perfect follow-up to his first two books, he turns his lens inward and offers a funny, moving, and thoughtful, memoir about the animals he's had all his life. Nostalgic, warm, and insightful, Ever By My Side is about the power of animals to shape our lives....

Sorry, Boring
Revisado: 03-24-13
Would you try another book from Nick Trout and/or Simon Vance?
No, I found the story drawn out and boring. I stopped listening after the 4th part
Has Ever By My Side turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, always willing to try one
Would you be willing to try another one of Simon Vance’s performances?
Only if the book seems to have more energy
What character would you cut from Ever By My Side?
None of the characters are bad, it is just a boring story about a boy becoming a vet
Any additional comments?
This book is just not interesting. A boys love for dogs, then becoming a vet. I couldn't make it past the 4th part it was so boring.
