Great for new 40K fans!
Revisado: 04-15-21
If you are like me and have an interest in 40K but are a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of books and lore there is out there, this is a FANTASTIC starting point, if you've watched some Youtuber's like Luten09 or listened to Adeptous Rediculous you'll have a base understanding and well enough to know what is going on in this book. It's got great action, humor and the narration is simply divine!

Revisado: 08-07-20
I LOVE this series and this book is no exception, the story is always moving and keeps you listening, a wonderful addition to any collection and here I hope it wont be the last book of the series, the book wraps up its plot nicely but leaves plenty to work with in the future. A+

I was expecting a run of the mill buddy cop book.
Revisado: 12-05-19
As the title suggests I had gotten this book because it is by Drew Hayes and I love his other work, I am not normally for books like these, however a good author is a good author right?
This book was so much more than I was expecting, the pacing is quick but you are kept up to speed right along with it, its got action, twists, a hint of drama and a moment or two of genuine heart pulling. This was a great example Drew Hayes' talent with writing a novel of more than just fantasy.
Scott Aiello does a fantastic job reading the parts, his voice changes very well to fit a good deal of characters and its never hard to figure out who is speaking. Talent such as his can be hard to find and I'm very happy to say he makes this book an easy listen.
I gave this book a perfect score; I know many, many books should not get a perfect score but this book has earned it. There is even a nice bit at the very end that makes you excited for the next book in the series, if you like mystery, action, plot twists and an all around good story, pick this up!

Spellbinding!
Revisado: 10-02-19
If you like any sort of magic semi-fantasy setting mystery story, this book will be one of your all time favorites! With a cast of wonderfully crafted characters, Yahtzee once again brings the best parts of his creative mind and sharp wit to another fantastic story.
The pace of the story is great, the mysteries will leave you speculating on theories all day while you are away from the book, and the sheer brilliance of the twists and turns will only make the next mystery even more enveloping. There are so few books like this, it does not try to be overly complex but keeps you on your toes the entire time, wondering and crafting your own theories as to the events taking place.
If you are looking for another great book by Yahtzee Croshaw, you found it.

We were prepared for an earthquake. We had a flood plan in place. We could even have dealt with zombies. Probably. But no one expected the end to be quite so…sticky…or strawberry scented. Yahtzee Croshaw ( Mogworld, Zero Punctuation Reviews) returns to audiobooks with a follow-up to his smash-hit debut: Jam, a dark comedy about the one apocalypse no one predicted.

I like books, but I love this one.
Revisado: 09-24-19
Honestly I did not know what to expect from this book, I do enjoy the "Zero Punctuation." On Youtube,
and for years I had heard that Yahtzee had written a book (well several really) and I had wanted to buy them for some time but never found myself picking them up. However I doubt I would have gotten the same experience from simply reading.
The story is so rich and engaging I found myself enthralled by it for hours at a time, the imagery Yahtzee produces in his work is nothing short of life-like. The characters all have great depth and you find yourself having genuine emotion toward them.
Yahtzee is an amazing entertainer and writer and he does not fall short of such a mark when it comes to his performance reading this book, the different voices range from subtle to being able to picture the face he must make while using them.
I have no doubts I will be buying every book by Yahtzee has written and Narrated thanks to this wonderful title.
