Only wish it was longer. I was invested in these characters and found myself smiling as well as feeling sad at different points in this sweet story.

I've never been in the military so this book taught me quite a bit and military, campaigns, and the gruesome details of battles.
I'm filled with gratitude even more than previously for the men that fought so hard and endured many trials- all for my freedom, our country's freedom.
The book drew me in and I became invested in this soldier's story.
