Love the series, annoyed by the narrator!

Really disappointing to get to book 18 of a series and suddenly find a new narrator who decides to give loved characters and accent or a completely new voice. Then he decides to mispronounce terms in the book, it's Memitim not Meminum open your eyes there is a T in there! Suddenly Dermoire (der-mwah-) is pronounced Demure (dee-mu-ah) Do your research you ruined this book for me.

Utter, utter crap couldn't finish it.

I suffered through the first book rolling my eyes & wanting to throttle the female lead for being so weak & pathetic. I can't stand books where the female basically just has to hold on until a big strong man comes along to save her & solve all her problems. When the second book started in exactly the same tones I gave up & couldn't finish it let alone try any of the others in this box set. I have over 600 hundred books in my library so it takes a lot for me to dislike something enough to post a review but this one certainly did it. Of course the narrator managed to sound like a school girl reading aloud in class so overall a big fat NO from me. Don't waste your money or credit on this!

First book I couldn't finish! Utter crap.

The writing is appalling, the lead character is naive, which I can live with, but her sheer stupidity just astounds me. Surely I wasn't that dumb when I was 21? I have over 500 audio books in my library & this is the first that I couldn't finish & that actually made me cringe. Don't waste a credit or your money, totally not worth it.

I consider myself pretty open minded & like a good erotic story as much as the next girl but even I found it hard listening to this book. How the lead character could allow such painful acts to be done to her made me cringe. I can understand the dominant / submissive relationship & a bit of erotic pain / pleasure play but this didn't seem to be about pleasure at all. I just couldn't understand why anyone would willingly take some of the acts performed on her it was just too extreme for me.

Great story bad narrator

I love Christine d'Arbo's books, they are always steaming hot & have a great story to go with the scorching sex scenes. Sexcapades was another fabulous story but unfortunately the narrator really killed it for me. I've listened to over 300 books now & I've never come across another narrator who managed to sound bored while she was reading the sex scenes. Most narrators manage to get you so into the book its like you are there living the story with the characters, this one sounded like she was reading from cue cards & badly at that. No change in voice for male or female characters so it was sometimes difficult to tell which character was speaking. PLEASE audible record it again with a different narrator you have done Christine d'Arbo a disservice.

Someone who is looking for a really bad romance.

What was most disappointing about Cathryn Brunet’s story?

The entire premise of the story was so far fetched & the main character so pathetic I can't believe I even listened to the entire book. I kept hoping it would get better!

How could the performance have been better?

Not having a narrator with such a broad Australian accent. I am a Kiwi & used to an Australian accent but this narrator was awful.

Wow, I've listened to many erotic novels by now but this one took my breath away. The sex scenes were fantastic. Do not listen while driving you will be totally distracted!

Where does Welcome to Temptation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

A good romance with some fun characters. I particularly liked the banter between the main character & her man. Sadly disappointing if you bought it because it was in the erotic section. Still a good listen.

The story itself was okay but seriously, listening to erotic sex scenes while the narrator talks in a monotone totally ruined it for me. Audible would do well to re-do the book with a different narrator.

I don't think I've heard a more pathetic story. It really is not worth buying, don't waste your money.
