Historia
Paul Bäumer is just 19 years old when he and his classmates enlist. They are Germany’s Iron Youth who enter the war with high ideals and leave it disillusioned or dead. As Paul struggles with the realities of the man he has become, and the world to which he must return, he is led like a ghost of his former self into the war’s final hours. All Quiet is one of the greatest war novels of all time, an eloquent expression of the futility, hopelessness and irreparable losses of war.

Dr. Livingston, I presume.
Revisado: 07-26-21
Nearly everyone knows that famous phrase was uttered by New York Herald newspaperman Henry Stanley when he had found Dr David Livingston in the African jungle. This is the oftentimes account of Henry Stanley’s search for the vaunted African explorer. This is a fascinating and well written book, but you have realize when you read it that beliefs and attitudes about race and racism were much different then and you can’t apply modern standards to Stanley and Livingston. You have to keep an open mind, today they would be considered racists, but by the standards of that time they were liberal and progressive. It’s a riveting first hand account of man against the elements in a time before motorization and antibiotics.

Lackluster and Ridiculously Expensive
Revisado: 03-27-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The facts concerning General Patton's unclouded grasp of the political situation, his military genius, his love of God and Country. Learning the covered up facts that lead to the unmistakable fact that he was murdered for the crime of loving his country and being unafraid to sound the alarm.
If you’ve listened to books by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard before, how does this one compare?
I have never heard Bill O'Reilly read before , but I do want to comment. I will never buy another of his audio book readings, if the price isn't lowered, and Mr. O'Reilly' s bored sounding reading doesn't change. I felt insulted when at the beginning of Chapter 3, he sighed and sounding annoyed began reading again.
Which scene was your favorite?
I hated the scene, but facts presented were revelations. The expose of probable collusion between the driver of the deuce and a half that struck the General's car and the MP' s that responded to the scene and then conducted the accident investigation. Was proof positive of General Patton's murder.
Did Killing Patton inspire you to do anything?
It inspired me to despise the Roosevelt-Truman and Democratic administration's even more. It opened my eyes even wider to the Democrats anti American stance starting with their support of Stalin and Mao whom were both mass murderers and evil tyrants. The deaths of Americans in Korea, Vietnam and the Cold war. The possible murder of President Kennedy. The bungling and failure to take the necessary action against, and now ever more undisguised support of Islamic terrorism.
Any additional comments?
I served as a Paratrooper in Spec Ops and Recon units in both jungle and desert combat. General Patton had always been an inspiration and role model. His unapologetic Americanism, Valor, Faith and determination. Should be his legacy, rather then his being painted as a war mongering Martinet. Truman and Marshall are responsible for Mao' s victory and establishment of Red China. The no victory prosecution of the Korean war. With the exception of President Kennedy whom also may have been murdered for his opposition to communism. Johnson's no victory strategy in Vietnam. Every Demoratic administration from WWII to the present has been accommodating to our enemies, and responsible for the deaths of over 125,000 Americans. Up to the blatant fifth column activities of today's criminal regime. Starting with General Patton's murder as the catalyst of realization. How many more patriotic Americans will offered as sacrifices to the enemies of freedom and our way of life? A Democratic presidential victory in 2016 may spell the death knell of our Constitutional system of government according to the ideals of the Founding Fathers.
