Great cat stories. The book could either have used better transitions when moving back and forward through time or have been organized a bit better.

To all the publishers who might still think cat lovers don’t read:
Every cat lover I know, male or female, reads voraciously. Besides, what do you think a cat lover is doing while a dog lover is at the dog park? They are reading!

Let’s all give Mariah a hug!

I’ve always liked her music, but since I don’t follow entertainment news and I don’t participate in any social media, I’ve only ever heard some of the superficial details and gossip about Mariah the stratospheric diva.

This book is very moving and shows Mariah the feeling, living, breathing human, not the judgmental, I-am-better-than-all-of-you elitist the media would want you to believe she is.

I can relate to so many aspects of Mariah’s childhood that I want to cry for her. How she ever survived her childhood and how she survives the trolls and haters without losing her whimsical charm and belief in the good is awe inspiring.

Wishing her days filled with love, joy, and happiness for the rest of her life.

Not a big fan of fiction

I sure wish Audible would label each audiobook as fiction or nonfiction along with the author’s name, publication date, etc.

Though this book is well written very well performed, I’m just not that into fiction. But I did complete the book for comment’s sake.

Powerful and Real!

Wow! What a moving memoir and approximately titled. Jessica does not hold back. She is such a beautiful soul who has had to be so strong to get through so many hardships.

I want to hive her a huge hug and say thank you. No one is exempt from facing adversity in life no matter how beautiful, famous, or wealthy one is. And it is ok to have dark moments. Just keep looking towards the future and don’t give up. It is amazing what a huge difference 3 months, 6 months, or a year can make.

Jessica’s emotions are palpable. I could feel what she was going through especially when she talked about her USO experience at Camp Anaconda. It took me right back to when I first deployed to Iraq on 2004.

God over reason

If you are a mystic you will enjoy the angle of the story. If you are a person of reason you may not enjoy they story as much. The focus of the story is on god over reason. Though I discount the angle of approach, what Doss did is absolutely heroic and honorable regardless of how the story is sold.

Read Seal Team Six

Kyle has a dangerous attitude towards killing humans—even if they are the enemy. For an accurate account of a bad@ss sniper, without all of the bravado and hype of an immature young male, read Seal Team Six by Howard Wasdin.

My unit was military intelligence and we absolutely preferred attitudes like Wasdin’s over Kyle’s... though Kyle was a recipient of our intel.
