Historia
There's a silent epidemic in Western civilization, and it is right under our noses. Our jaws are getting smaller and our teeth crooked and crowded, creating not only aesthetic challenges but also difficulties with breathing. Sandra Kahn and Paul R. Ehrlich, a pioneering orthodontist and a world-renowned evolutionist, respectively, present the biological, dietary, and cultural changes that have driven us toward this major health challenge. They propose simple adjustments that can alleviate this developing crisis.

Great read

The narrator is a bit robotic but the info is right on. Great synopsis of how industrialization and epigenetic’s are having a big impact on orofacial development. Well written 10 out of 10.

Beautiful
Revisado: 08-15-22
I really enjoyed listening to this book. It was pretty heavy at times so I did take my time through it. I was impressed by the amount of detail he went into when writing about our nervous system, our scared animal, and behavior patterns that all contribute to how we deal or don’t deal with conflict. It was well structured and organized. I liked his use of acronyms that gave step by step directions to communicate, listen and resolve conflict effectively. Great book, I will probably end up referring to it later and re-reading when I need to.

Historia
For most women, getting their period sucks. Bloating. Cramps. Acne. Aches. Moodiness. Messiness. No wonder we call it "The Curse"! For many, it's not just an inconvenience - it's a colossal life disruption, forcing them to miss work, school, appointments, or dates. We've been encouraged to medicate away common period problems with birth control and ibuprofen and just survive the mood swings as best we can. But as Nicole Jardim explains, periods aren't a nuisance, they're information.

Wealth of information
Revisado: 02-25-22
I read this book to get my hormones back on track after getting my IUD removed. It really helped me understand my hormones on a whole new level and make sense of the symptoms I was experiencing. The super sciencey parts were sometimes hard to get through but I can see how useful that information would be to someone who needs the fine details in order to restore health. I do feel very empowered by all the new habits I’ve put into action. My main symptoms of hair loss, period cramping and mood fluctuations have pretty much resolved. Also my digestion and sleep are so much better! Thank you Nicole!

Historia
"Most people think of love as a feeling," says David Richo, "but love is not so much a feeling as a way of being present." In this audiobook, Richo offers a fresh perspective on love and relationships - one that focuses not on finding an ideal mate, but on becoming a more loving and realistic person. Drawing on the Buddhist concept of mindfulness, How to Be an Adult in Relationships explores five hallmarks of mindful loving and how they play a key role in our relationships throughout life.
