Seamlessly blending history and reportage, Bill Barich offers a heartfelt homage to the traditional Irish pub, and to the central piece of Irish culture disappearing along with it. After meeting an I rishwoman in London and moving to Dublin, Bill Baricha blow-in, or stranger, in Irish parlancefound himself looking for a traditional I rish pub to be his local. There are nearly 12 thousand pubs in Ireland, so he appeared to have plenty of choices.

Read the book, don't listen
Revisado: 03-28-17
The narrator has a nice voice, but doesn't bother to get correct the pronunciation of anything unfamiliar to him. The book itself is well written.

Soothing
Revisado: 03-15-17
Yes, I love bedtime stories! Who decided adults don't need those anyway!?! This production is lovingly made to soothe the tired body while recognizing the inner child who still needs to feel comforted and properly tucked in. I would buy more like this!

Historia
FBI special agent Kate O’Hare has made it her mission to nail international con artist Nicolas Fox. When she discovers his plot to plunder a venture capitalist’s 20th-story Chicago penthouse of all its cash and treasures while the self-proclaimed "King of Hostile Takeovers" is getting married, Kate is 85 percent - okay maybe 92 percent - sure that she’s finally going to bag Nick Fox. Problem is, first Kate has to convince her boss, building security, and maybe even herself, that wedding planner Merrill Stubing is actually Nicolas Fox. Second, she has to figure out how to corner and capture him without disrupting the event of the year.

A past con with Kate as agent on the hunt
Revisado: 12-07-14
This short story one is good enough. It brings readers back to one of the cons referenced in the first book, to tell the full story. The long books are much better!
I am loving this new series. The problem is that now that I've had a taste, I'm concerned the authors can't write new books fast enough to satisfy my appetite. Chemistry, intelligence, and fun, I want more!

Con man Nick Fox is after Garson Klepper’s golden Peruvian relics. For Fox, convincing Klepper to hire him as security for the relocation of the relics to the Getty museum in L.A. was easy. Problem is, Fox wasn’t planning on Klepper also enlisting the help of the FBI. Fox also wasn’t planning on being paired up with rookie special agent Kate O’Hare. She’s smart, she’s tenacious, and when she’s conned, she holds a grudge. Life for Fox and O’Hare will never be the same again.

When Linda Babcock asked why so many male graduate students were teaching their own courses and most female students were assigned as assistants, her dean said: "More men ask. The women just don't ask." It turns out that whether they want higher salaries or more help at home, women often find it hard to ask.
