As war breaks out among the colonies, a huge ship appears over the UPP mining planet Shānmén, releasing a horror that yields hideous transformations. Rescue is too far away, and the colonists’ only hope appears in the form of the vessel Righteous Fury. It carries the Jackals—an elite mix of former Colonial Marines and Royal Marines. Woke. But just my opinion.
Revisado: 09-23-22
For me:
Tedious; lacked dialog; women being first at something or other all over again in the future. Boring. Unfortunately. I wanted to like it. I look forward to all the Alien franchise audio books. But perhaps they have run their course. I may be wrong. Don't reject this audio based on my opinion. Maybe some day I will change my mind. The setting of a mining planet sounded great.

The Anti-Capitalistic Mentality

Historia
The Anti-Capitalistic Mentality by Austrian School economist and libertarian thinker Ludwig von Mises is an investigation into the psychological roots of the anti-capitalistic stance that is widespread in segments of the general population of the capitalist world. Von Mises suggests various reasons for this mentality, primarily his claim that free competition in the market economy allows no excuses of one's failures. Rather, he argues, it creates great incentive for one's desire for improvement and greater effort to succeed, as well as a greater reward for that success.

It was a shock to my system
Revisado: 09-20-20
I read this important and interesting book years ago. One would think that a psychiatrist or psychologist would have made this diagnosis of 'the individual American. The anti capitalist mentality is nearly unanimous among Americans. I thought i was above resentment and envy but his work forced me to deal with a real problem that was in my life for years. And it kept me from being a better more self responsible individual. Earl Nightingale book from forty years ago explained the problem but from a different point of view. Von Mises adds a better understanding of a thought process that keeps a man from doing better and enjoying life. Americans tend to blame others for their own lack of success. I catch myself with a resentment of some one's success compared to mine now and then but quickly remind myself that is not helpful. It just creates an excuse to not perform better at life. Was looking forward to hearing his book to get a fresh new perspective and a different way to learn that for me works better than reading. However this audio fails miserably. It is worth doing. And hope someone else can take this on.or the performer does it over and give us a copy or I think i will ask for my money back.

"It's the first war we could not win.." WRONG
Revisado: 09-19-20
I loved this audio! Even though the headline is dead wrong. The headline states "It's the first war we could not win" is a "We'z all " sentence. I must say however it was a great book and the best performance. Loved the fellow's vocal variety and his accent and smug opinion of the lazy draftee American soldiers. A superiority complex of sorts and it made Hasting's book even more interesting. The headline is a we'z all sentence because of the weasel word "we." There was NO we. It was individuals high up in the Deep State who decided to lose this war. Truman gets the honor of saving Mao and the Reds so they could kill more Americans in Vietnam and release Covid virus today. . Don't be blaming we Americans.
And as a further point American government rulers were losing wars long before this. How is it Wilson got credit for winning WW 1 when what he did is help Bolsheviks and prime the German Pump for a vicious second half war twenty years later. Then there was the AEF (American Expeditionary Force) to Russia in 1918. American soldiers had the shit slapped out of them by the Bolsheviks. This was "Wilson's War Too." There were other wars like the war of 1812, the Philippines Jungle war with muslims started under TR @1900 and we are still funding and fighting them. America lost the war against Mao taking over China, as if America's ruling class really cared.
As it turned out FDR, Marshall, Stilwell, certain journalists, and The State Department were really for the mass murdering Mao while pretending to support a free China.

Find out how stupid US gov is.
Revisado: 08-27-20
I confess Mao early life is tedious and boring but then Bam! The details of a mass murder serial killer torture monster are revealed. Mao is the smartest man in the room when you compare him to American useful idiots that put lip stick on that Orwellian Pig. And this third world primitive managed to put a leash and muzzle on America's best and brightest. FDR was on Mao's side along. FDR had a heart on for Stalin and Truman was too dense to understand how FDR's Master plan was to turn the world over to the Commies. The authors proved it without having to state it outright. FDR purposely hired the dumbest general in the history of America, he knew that Marshall would sacrifice the Nationalists to get Mao on top. Then their was resentment filled reactive Vinegar Joe Stilwell who said he hated FDR. But FDR knew he would undermine Chiang. And in case he didn't FDR sent some guys over like John Davies and some others to pick up loud mouth Stillwells arrogant plans to corner the Chi Coms as well as to help stoke VJ Stilwell's contempt of the Nationalists that would result in the Nationalists fleeing. VJ with no ethics or morals was quite happy to make plans to assassinate Chiang. The man he was hired to help win Chinese freedom from Mao. We learn that FDR, Stillwell, Marshall and these useful idiots knew about Mao's mass murders, tortures, and starving of citizens, the purge of fellow communists that Mao did before Stalin. Mao was pure evil. The US government elite, who suffered from the same anti capitalist mentality of the commies tried to make peace with a social system that did not and does not respect individualism. FDR himself had contempt for the common man. Thanks to FDR's hiring dullards, narcissists, anti capitalists, and many operatives that have a contempt for freedom FDR turned the China red. So successful that to this day our government has allowed the Chi coms to steal our technology our ideas. While the US is bogged down in regulatory lead and high taxes the chi coms are blowing past us. And really it was part of FDR's master plan and the IVY league bureaucrats that have a contempt for your freedom.

Historia
This book is a demonstration both of the economic planning and order that prevail under capitalism and of the chaos and tyranny that prevail under socialism. Originally published in 1979, and later incorporated into the author’s magnum opus, Capitalism: A Treatise on Economics as Chapters 6-8, this is a powerful and convincing book which explains the essential principles of free-market price theory along with leading applications of those principles.

Americans overwhelmingly are anti capitalist. They have learned mostly through government monopoly compulsory schooling to become more like Russians and if there is the rare american that doesn't want to give up his power he wants the government to take yours and give it to him.. We live in an America with a corrupt government ; whose mission is to take your wealth and give it to the connected,

How did this get into the Alien Series
Revisado: 01-02-20
I like the Alien Franchise. I have listened to all that Amazon had to offer and i have found sci fi novels written long
ago relating to the first two sci fi movies Ridley Scott's Alien and Aliens. Some how I though this was related to the franchise
and perhaps it is. But I could not get through five minutes. This does not seem to be an audio book for adults. This is some sort of sexually mixed up teen and yikes. Instead of having a warning saying something is x rated or you have to be over the age of 17 to watch.. in this case listen to.. it should have a warning on the cover of the book saying NOT INTENDED TO any adult over the age of 19 without a 13 year old guardian present. Look it is my fault for choosing the audio book. I was desperate for an alien fix. An adult listening to this stuff could get arrested.
