Just for fun, count how many times the author wrote grav lift. Haha! But all jokes aside, I really enjoyed this series. It’s a really easy storyline to jump back into. It’s very interesting and full of twists and turns. Not to mention a ton of action and just the right amount of romance. I’m happy I bought it.

I Couldn’t Finish It

If you’re a BW, this one probably will grate at your nerves as well. However, if you like this sort of narrative, I won’t yuck your yum. Plus the author is a great writer and the narration was amazing.

I really tried getting into it. But I just couldn’t.
Maybe this character is specific to women accustomed to certain privileges. But all the things that make her anxious to the point of inaction are most of our defaults settings.

For me, it was just annoying to listen to her whine over and over about things in her head, only to become paralyzed when it comes time to do something about it.

No idea how the story ended. So I can’t give that a star rating. Maybe there was some wicked plot twist or something. But I missed out. And I don’t have fomo about it either. -shrugs-

Surreal and Scary

I had such a great time with this book.
The pacing was perfect. The storyline was awesome and the ending was exactly what it needed to be to avoid a plot hole. I can’t lie, I was genuinely frightened and disgusted a few times. Huge Trigger Warning to people who have gone through any traumatic experiences.

I AM Flabbergasted

Color me gobsmacked! This is my favorite from the entire series so far. I have a few more to go. So I won’t say it is for certain just yet.
But I’m completely enamored with Sorrow. She is so hard headed and brave.
The plot is incredible. The narrator is amazing. And the characters are insane and complex. I loved this one.

Chap 24 had me boohoo crying

I’ve been following this series since book 1. I’ll give you all an ordered list under book 1’s review. Now that that’s out of the way, I. Love. This. Series.
There’s a turning point for one of the characters in this story that really just made my heart smile. Tears came to my eyes by the time I got to chapter 24. I’m officially a fan.

My Anxiety is Constantly Assaulted

I can’t get a break. It’s just scare after scare. I’m not even done. I had to make a review midway.
I am clearly a masochist, a frisson at the very least! It’s struggle after struggle after torment after torment.
BUT? A great storyline. Really great characters. I’m drawn in to the plot. So… off I go. Back to the headache.

A Nice Dystopian YA Book

Oh lord this narrator! I sped him up to 1.2x and I honestly cannot imagine listening to it at the normal pace. He’s does a great job with the characters and I’m still listening to the book, but dear Lord I had to warn you guys. Haha!

I’m a huge fan of the storyline. I absolutely love how much I could never ever be sure what happened until the moment it was revealed.
I can’t lie, the narrator really captured that annoying entitled energy in her tone for Esmè. It was a little hard to listen. But to her credit, it was a very real reenactment.
