Was this my favorite book ever? Nope, but I really enjoyed the characters and the story line. The narrator's reading of this was fitting and done well. I don't like spoiling stories for people, so I won't. If you like good fantasy/ adventure books, I found one. Well actually four.

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Another book I could listen to a few times. The writing is clever and extremely entertaining. The characters are so well done, and the beer can was a much welcomed and unexpected addition that carried this book over the top. You have suspense, drama, comedy, comradery and, of course interstellar space travel. The narration could not have been done better by anyone. Not my favorite book of all time, but it's high up there.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Creative and enveloping story.
Revisado: 03-31-23
I listened to this book twice. That's how much I liked it. I thought the characters were well developed and made me feel like I actually knew them. The story line took me on a journey that I didn't want to end. My only, and there is only one complaint about the whole story line...Climate change nonsense. I just wish authors would stay away from this nonsensical political BS. That being said, I would recommend this great read to anyone who is looking for an immensely entertaining ride.

Historia
The end of man was not signaled by marauding gangs or explosions but with silence. People simply grew older knowing a younger generation would not be there to replace them. The final two residents in the neighborhood of Camelot, an old man and his invalid brother, are trapped in their house by forests full of cats and dogs battling with the bears and wolves to eat anything they can find. As the man struggles to survive, he recounts all the ways society changed as the human population continued to shrink.

I wanted to like this, and I did for a while.
Revisado: 03-11-23
I think this book had real potential going in. It had a unique story line and appeal, but it became monotonous and repetitive. I really wish he would have thrown in something/ ANYTHING, to change it up. Making a multi book series is not always the best approach if the reader will not see the second release. I though it would have a much different outcome, and maybe it will, but I will never know. I skipped through the last several chapters just to see if it was going to get to a changing point, but it never did. No cliffhanger, or anything to compel me to read the next release. On a positive note, the Narrator 'Ray Chase' did a fantastic job reading a so-so book.

Historia
As the chief forensic anthropologist for the FBI’s Chicago field office, Christine Prusik has worked her fair share of bizarre cases. Yet this one trumps them all: a serial killer is strangling young women and dumping their bodies in the steep, forested ravines of southern Indiana. With each victim, the killer leaves a calling card: a stone figurine carved like the spirit stones found among the native tribes of Papua New Guinea—the same tribes Prusik worked with a decade earlier while doing field research.

Well written and enjoyable.
Revisado: 02-20-23
I thought this book was very well written, clever, and kept me engaged throughout the entire book. I would add that the characters were well defined, and each had their own unique personality. Vivid details, and a bit of suspense took me on a journey, and allowed me to visualize everything that was happening. I'm not a huge fan of female narrators, but she did a great job with the different characters, and gave them all a life of their own. Well Done!

From the Satanic Panic to the anti-vaxx movement, it's always been human nature to believe we're being lied to by the powers that be (and sometimes, to be fair, we absolutely are). But while it can be fun to indulge in a bit of Deep State banter on the family Whatsapp group, recent times have shown us that some of these theories have taken on a life of their own—and in our dogged quest for the truth, it appears we might actually be doing it some damage.

USING MSM FOR SOURCES IS NOT WISE.
Revisado: 02-11-23
I thought I knew where this book was going to go by listening to the sample. I decided to bite anyhow. I actually think the author could write a very good book if he didn't rely solely on using CNN propaganda for his sources of information. If we didn't have such a corrupt Judicial system, many of these topics would have been proven as facts and not conspiracy theories.
Truth relies on factual information, and that kind of information has all but disappeared in the last few years. The author proves it with this latest book.
I could have been brutal with my rating of this book, but hey, everyone should have the right to express their opinion. New facts are coming out everyday in the USA that are still proving the "Conspiracy Theorists" right once again.

Revisado: 10-21-22
What can I say... I liked the listen, I liked the story line , mostly, and I liked the narration of the story a lot. Scott Brick to me, is John Corey, so I have to listen to any book he does by Nelson DeMille. I felt this one stalled out a bit, and was dragged out half way through. The story did come with a twist though afterwards. A definite must read, and the audio version is a must hear book. Maybe I'm biased in my opinion because of my love for the Scott, and Nelson combo of all John Corey novels, but they are all excellent in my opinion.

Against the backdrop of worldwide, unexplainable natural disasters, Dr. Virginia Marilyn Edwards (Emmy Award-winner Kerry Washington) seeks out Agent Scott Thomas (Emmy Award-winner Laurence Fishburne) at a secretive government headquarters. Virginia claims these events are signs, and unless Agent Thomas helps her, she believes things will only get worse. Her desperation is dialed up higher with a shocking proclamation as she stands before him pregnant, weak, and weary: “Agent Thomas,” she says, “I believe I am Mary.”

Revisado: 10-08-22
Good story, good performance, cool sound effects, I thought the actors were great, and it was an entertaining story. Maybe not not biblically accurate, but it's a story. I was really into it until it got close to the end where they couldn't resist adding racial gibberish I would have given 5 stars all around if not for that stupid move.

I rather enjoyed this book. Some have given a negative review of this story based on other books they have read, I guess they expect the same story to be written by every author to suit their wants, and needs. I loved the characters, the story line and the narrator's choice of making these characters come to life. It was not a deep, dark, suspenseful super thriller, I've read much more in depth wizard/ magic books in my time, but this book was somehow soothing and a relaxing read for me, with a full of life world for my mind to explore. I WILL check out the many other works from Nathen Lowell, J. Daugherty.

Historia
At 24 years of age, U.S. Army Ranger Sean Parnell was named commander of a forty-man elite infantry platoon - a unit that came to be known as the Outlaws - and was tasked with rooting out Pakistan-based insurgents from a mountain valley along Afghanistan's eastern frontier. Parnell and his men assumed they would be facing a ragtag bunch of civilians, but in May 2006 what started out as a routine patrol through the lower mountains of the Hindu Kush became a brutal ambush.

War is Hell. A very well written depiction of it.
Revisado: 04-22-22
I will start by saying that I never served in the military, but I truly loved the story and I felt like I was there, The narration of it was very well done, and the characters in it were vibrantly captured. It held my full attention throughout the whole story. I would buy from this author again, and plan to do so soon.
