Historia
Motherhood isn’t easy, especially when you’re a mother of a Black son. Ten years ago, Cheryl jumped at the chance to send her son, Javonte, to an exclusive boarding school in New England - far away from Atlanta and the violence of the city streets. It was the American dream, or was it? Now settled in Vermont, Javonte is married and well-employed, but Cheryl hardly ever sees him, and when she does, her own son seems like someone she only used to know.

Good quick listen, wish it was longer

Tahari Jones is one of my favorite authors, and I really enjoyed this story, especially since it was read by one of my favorite actresses. Wish it was a little longer, but overall, I really enjoyed the story and it made me think of my mama and all the black mamas out there

This was just as good, if not better, than all the other books in the series. I love Morgan, Lance, Sharp and all of the characters that make up this series and I could read about them all day!

Historia
Agatha is pregnant and works part time stocking shelves at a grocery store in a ritzy London suburb, counting down the days until her baby is due. As the hours of her shifts creep by in increasing discomfort, the one thing she looks forward to at work is catching a glimpse of Meghan, the effortlessly chic customer whose elegant lifestyle dazzles her. Meghan has it all: two perfect children, a handsome husband, a happy marriage, and a stylish group of friends, and she writes perfectly droll confessional posts on her popular parenting blog.

Such an engaging story!
Revisado: 04-01-18
This was so good! It was one of those mysteries where you don't know what's happening around every corner and it really leaves you on the edge of your toes. The narrator waswonderful, capturing both Agatha and Meg with such vividness that you could really sympathize with both of them, even Agatha was meant to be the anataganist. Up until the very end, I didn't know which way it was going to go and the ending was one of those good surprises. Really great story!!

Revisado: 12-01-17
I really enjoying listening to this book. I loved the narrator's voice, it was so unique and it really captures each character distinctly, esp the main character. I loved the realness she brought to each person and how her voice and descriptions really brought the story to life. I couldn't believe who the killer turned out to be, but that's what makes a good mystery. I was so happy when I found out there was a sequel and I will definitely be reading it!!

Historia
Zoe knows that it wasn't really her fault. Of course it wasn't. But if she'd just grasped harder, run faster, lunged quicker, she might have saved him. And Edward doesn't really blame her, though his bitter words at the time still haunt her, and he can no more take them back than she can halt the car that killed their son. Two years on, every day is a tragedy. Edward knows they should take healing steps together, but he's tired of being shut out. For Zoe, it just seems easier to let grief lead the way.

Such a good read!!
Revisado: 11-15-17
This was so good, I really enjoyed it!! I liked how each chapter was told from the other person, either Edward or Zoey's perspective, like how it could have been the same day but we were seeing it through the other person's eyes. It really hoes to show how much losing a child can tear two people apart and they have to really find themselves again before they can come back together and be a couple.

I absolutely love this series!! I don't know if the next book is the final in the series but I hope not because I never get tired of reading about Tracy and her friends and the cases she works on and how they shape her life. I feel like these people are my friends and the author does such a wonderful job making the characters down to earth and relatable that you can't help loving them. On to the next book!!

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Revisado: 09-28-17
I really enjoyed getting insight into Trevor Noah's childhood and background, it was very enlightening and insightful. I loved that he read it himself because he has a very distinct and soothing voice. To come from where he came from and rise to be a successful comedian and host of The Daily show just shows that you can do anything with hard work and perseverance.

Revisado: 05-31-17
This was my first book by this author and I have to say I absolutely loved it!! I loved the back and forth between the different viewpoints and I did not see that twist at the end at all! I had no clue who the male voice was until the very end and I still can't believe he did all those things, especially what he did to his own daughter. It kept me engaged until the very end and Iwill definitely check out more books by this author

I really enjoyed listening to this book, very good and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters, especially Kevin because he was so combativeconstantly and arrogant but everythinghe did always came from a place of love. I loved how Daniel was able to see the good in Alex even after everything she did and I'm glad she finally experienced true love.
