Historia
In 2017, author Shanna Swan and her team of researchers completed a major study. They found that over the past four decades, sperm levels among men in Western countries have dropped by more than 50 percent. They came to this conclusion after examining 185 studies involving close to 45,000 healthy men. The result sent shockwaves around the globe - but the story didn’t end there.

This book is so important!!!
Revisado: 08-20-24
Ok so there’s a ton of information in here and it’s not easy to hear but please do listen and share. I’ve already recommended it to a number of people. I thought I was reasonably knowledgeable on environmental hazards but there is so much more information here! And hold on till the end. It can feel really doom and gloom for a while but there are reasonable and helpful recommendations for what to DO about this crisis (other than panic.) Not just for people trying to conceive, but for everyone who cares about humanity and animal life on earth.

Revisado: 01-01-24
I grew up reading these books and it’s so nice to share them with my kids now. My 5 year old has been addicted! We listen during car rides, walks, and quiet time.

Main character is frustratingly stupid at times, reasonably predictable but entertaining
Revisado: 06-15-23
The main protagonist is frustrating for me. I don’t know if she’s meant to be somewhat thick headed but she had me rolling my eyes multiple times at how obvious of a poor choice she makes and then claims she had no choice. Not totally sure why the love interest falls so madly in love with her. There was also a fair amount that I found rather predictable and obvious. That being said, it was enjoyable and entertaining. The world is neat and there is a beauty to it. If you can get past the feeling it’s more adult beauty and the beast fan-fiction, it can be fun.

Wonderful adventure
Revisado: 06-01-22
I loved this book! I was fascinated by the concept but really fell for the characters. It encompasses the very different and yet very interconnected aspects of Kat’s persona. She’s so freaking cool. There’s also some rather thought provoking issues that have major parallels in our current time. I highly recommend this book!! And now I’m chomping at the bit for the next installment.

Historia
American women visit more doctors, have more surgery, and fill more prescriptions than men. In Everything Below the Waist, Jennifer Block asks: Why is the life expectancy of women today declining relative to women in other high-income countries, and even relative to the generation before them? Block tells the stories of patients, clinicians, and reformers, uncovering history and science that could revolutionize the standard of care, and change the way women think about their health.

Mind-blowing!!
Revisado: 12-16-19
This book covers a variety of topics related to women's health care and it is absolutely fascinating! I now need to order a hard copy to go over again with a fine tooth comb and highlight and re-read. As a midwifery student this book is really helping me evaluate how to approach health care for my clients and myself! I can't stop thinking about it or talking about it. I HIGHLY recommend it!!
