I enjoyed it overall but it was much harder to follow than the others in the series. The two mysteries at once were slightly less believable and I had to listen to the end three times to understand what happened with one of them. I love this series overall and have listened to all of them. The performance was stellar.

Good book

This was a good book but at places it rambled to topics that were unexpected. I thought from the name it was focused on Eddie Sweat even more than it was, but it did ramble to and from other people and horses. It was enjoyable and informative nonetheless.

Interesting characters; story unfolds slowly

I have the utmost respect for the people in this true story, and their lives are very interesting. I could not shake the feeling, however, that the story is being told in a rather slow fashion, and it was a bit difficult to keep listening at times. I found myself wanting to know what happens to the people, but the story needed a bit more speed or action to keep my interest.

Riveting story and very well written

This is a riveting spy story that is hard to stop listening to! The reader's voice is perfect for the material, and the writer unfolds the details of the story in an engaging manner. Highly recommended for another perspective on the Russian Revolution and the "insiders' view" of events as they unfolded!

The content is fantastic, and the reader is very good. This is a book to be re-read every few years.

The entire book presents a new way of thinking, and this way of thinking is very helpful to people living in such hectic times.

Riveting story with fantastic narration

This book is a "page turner" even on Audible. The narration is perfect, and I can't wait to turn it back on again to get to the next chapter. The writing is fabulous, with a lot of detail and "people interest" to keep the reader engaged and bring the reality of the Revolution to life. Very well done and one of my favorite Audible books ever.

Well-written story that is informative and entertaining

The reader was excellent, and the story flowed well. There are many details about the various individuals behind American Pharoah, and it was a nice story to listen to. The length was just right.
