Historia
Eula and Randi have noticed their next-door neighbor Abe engaged in some peculiar behaviors, such as hanging bells and eating grass. They’ve also noticed his proliferation of bushy white hair and unusual height. Their parents, Ian and Nina, reassure them he’s just an eccentric old man. However, they all learn the truth soon enough. Abe is a yeti, or member of the High Folk (as they prefer to be called). The yeti explains that he’s trying to get in contact with the Wander Folk or Sasquatch as humans more commonly know them. After learning his secret, the family includes him in their ...

virtual voice sucks
Revisado: 05-14-24
the story was fun but the virtual voice was wretched. The mispronounced words were bad enough but the inflections were even worse.

tedious
Revisado: 04-14-24
it's a decent story and the one thing I like the most is that the hero is good and the bad guy is bad. I like for my hero to be better than me and the bad guy worse. Unfortunately, it got extremely tedious at times. The author would say the same thing but with different words. Like explaining something to a child that doesn't understand. I found myself skipping a lot of the inner dialog of our protagonist... Despite that I'll still get the next one because it isn't like most of the stories coming out nowadays.

Historia
Now a student at Wurthaven, Will is confronted with the truth of the present. The powerful magic embodied by wizards like his grandfather is but a distant memory. Though the practice of the current day is timid and uninspired, Will needs the knowledge that’s preserved and managed by the college. At every turn he finds that sorcery is supreme, while wizards are trained merely to assist and support those who hold the real power - a power based on an evil so deep that few who are living know the truth of its foundation.

passable
Revisado: 04-02-24
While I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, this one I found to be annoying. The fight scenes and the magic were the only thing that kept me going. What I found to be ridiculous was the fact that Will murdered s class mate but was squeamish at killing others. I skipped a lot more than I normally would and didn't miss a thing. ie.,the sex scene and the wedding. Anywho, I'm not sure if I want to spend a credit on the next one. The reviews rarely help.

Historia
The ancient magic of wizards was anything but dark. It was the enlightenment that lifted humanity from the squalor of superstition, and the worship of fell spirits and capricious gods, but those days are gone. The shining glory of the sorcerers burned away the subtlety of wisdom, replacing it with easy power, held only in the hands of the elite - a new age built upon the elemental supremacy of aristocrats and the ignorance of the masses.

Finally
Revisado: 03-28-24
Finally, a book I couldn't stop listing to. Were there parts I could have done without? Yes. Was the cussing uncalled for? Mostly but it wasn't as bad as some of the reviews say. Is the next book worth 30 dollars? No way but I don't think any audio book is worth that. Is it worth a credit? Definitely.

Historia
Welcome to the Five Isles, where war has come in the name of the invading army of Sor Sevier, a merciless host driven by the prophetic fervor of the Angel Prince, Aeros, toward the last unconquered kingdom of Gul Kana. Yet Gault, one of the elite Knights Archaic of Sor Sevier, is growing disillusioned by the crusade he is at the vanguard of just as it embarks on his Lord Aeros' greatest triumph. While the eldest son of the fallen king of Gul Kana now reigns in ever increasing paranoid isolationism, his two sisters seek their own paths.

Revisado: 03-16-24
It was a goog enough story but there were too many unnecessary scenes. Character development is dragging out a bit but hopefully they get there. I'm still debating whether or not to get the next title. I'm worried that our heroes will still be making the same old mistakes. I need my hero to be better than me and the villian to be worse...

I must be too old school because it is very difficult to find decent stories nowadays. I admit that this has potential but it's just... What people want nowadays. I want good guys are good and bad guys are bad and the good guys win. When I read or listen to a book I am escaping and I don't want to escape into reality. I get enough of that already. I want bigger than life good guys. That's the whole point. I don't know how many credits and or cash I have wasted on shite like this book that I'll never finish.
