I don’t feel I can write much without giving too m

John Marrs’ “The Stranger in Her House” was the first time I tried Whispersync for Kindle. That will be an entirely different review, but it did allow me to read the ebook as well as listen to the audiobook. First, I love a British narrator and this particular book has 3 different narrators to love: Elizabeth Knowelden, Soneela Nankani, and Steve West.

There are several parts to this book, and for good reason. This story is not simple and John takes his time building the characters and leading you into a world of deception. While the character development is fabulous, I didn’t like a single one of the characters - which is exactly how it is meant to be! Each character has their own secrets and reasons for the reader to dislike them.

There are multiple twists scattered throughout the book, up to and including at the end. I found myself absorbed in this book, devouring it whenever I had the chance.

I don’t feel I can write much without giving too much away, so I will just recommend that you read it.

I am a Riley Sager fan - but this one fell short for me. No, I didn't even finish it. There was so little action, nothing pulled me into the story or thrilled me enough to keep going.

His writing is great, but this one wasn't for me.

It didn't suck me in.

I don't have any complaints on this one other than the fact that it didn't suck me in. Before I got to the end, I found that I didn't care who had committed the murder... There wasn't enough drawing me in.

The narrators did a great job and I enjoyed the style of writing. I finished it, so as I said it wasn't horrible.. just not dramatic enough for me.

I loved reading Francie's adventure!

I loved reading all about Francie's adventure in Paris. I listened to the audiobook and now am eager to hear the others in the series!

I’m really not sure what to put in a review. What a rollercoaster of emotions listening to this thing! Anger, sadness... sick and twisted... and yet I couldn’t stop listening... and then at the end, a guy punch of sorts...

Great book and highly recommend!

Fell in Love with main characters

This was a great book! I really enjoyed the characters and the town... This could totally be turned into a movie! It was realistic to have baggage and work through it... sometimes we don't know why we are called to someone, but we are. I saw that in Luce and Connor!

Sweet Southern Charm

Again, MK Chester knocked it out of the park! I love listening to her audiobooks! She brings sweet southern charm right to my car! Her romances are not too fast nor too slow, they are clean and sweet, and I love how I feel immersed in a past time. I look forward to all she has to write!

Great view of grief from mother/daughter view

How are you supposed to feel when you lose your husband/father AND sister/aunt at the same time? That is exactly what "Regretting You" focuses on from the back and forth view point of the wife and daughter left behind.

I loved the raw emotions displayed by each of the main characters and how the story is continuously told, but flipping views from mother to daughter and back with each chapter. The book showcases the anger and situations of a teenage girl (like drinking, sex, skipping school) as well as the difficulties parenting a teenage girl - all while handling grief. The climax of the book focuses on the mother keeping the truth from the daughter, but the explosion of emotion was worth the wait.

At times, I was frustrated with the daughter for her behavior toward her mother, but maybe that is a personal issue I have. I also am turned off when people don't get a chance to saw what they want, which the daughter didn't allow from her mother. None of this was enough to stop me from thoroughly enjoying this though.

I would not recommend this book if you have recently lost a parent or spouse, as it provokes real emotion. However, I think if you enjoy tear-jerkers, coming of age type books, or light romances, this is a great book for you!

I give it 4/5 stars. (I listened to the audiobook version.)

Cute, sweet, and happy

I liked this novella! It was light listening, fast paced, and made me smile! No detailed sex scenes, just a sweet light-hearted holiday love story... like watching a Hallmark movie..

Narrators have great voice and I genuinely enjoyed listening to them!
