Better Than Expected

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would, as it's not the genre I normally listen to. The story itself was compelling, and the narration was good overall. The only exception being that I don't care for the exaggerated growling and overly dramatic male voice, but that's just personal preference, I suppose. I also cringed all the way through it due to the amount of unnecessary, crude, profane language and felt that it detracted from the story and diminished the intelligence of the characters.

This book was delightful! MiMi was a riot and I found myself laughing out loud. The other characters added so much to her journey as well. My only disappointment was in one of the choices she made, and I couldn't understand why, but I don't want to give too much away by expanding on that. After all, it was her choice to make and I was just along for the ride, which was, overall, very entertaining.

I simply adored this book! The characters were so quirky and charming, the narration was fantastic, and the story itself was just wonderful. I hated for this book to end, and wish it could go on forever, like a soap opera that I could listen to every day. I miss these characters already, and would love a series of books about Spring Hill. Just great!
