Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Historia
For the members of SEAL Team Six, it was a rare mission ordered by the president, monitored in real time from the Situation Room. Houthi rebels in Yemen had captured an American journalist and a member of the Saudi royal family. Their executions were scheduled for Easter Sunday. The SEAL team were to break them out. But when the mission results in spectacular failure, the finger-pointing goes all the way to the top. Paige Chambers, a determined young lawyer, has a very personal reason for wanting to know the answer.

I enjoyed every minute and every aspect of this book. Randy Singer doesn't disappoint and Carla Mercer-Meyers did a wonderful job with all the characters of a very complicated story.

Historia
Annie Mac's estranged husband vows that nothing will stop him from getting his baby girl. Not Annie Mac and certainly not that boy of hers. Only four blocks away, Hannah Morgan lives in comfort with her husband and dog, making pottery and waiting for her best friend to come home. When she discovers the two children cowering in the bushes and their mama left for dead, it doesn't take her long to rally the sleepy town of Beaufort, NC, and to set her coterie of do-gooders to some extra-strength do-gooding.

Heavy Weather delivers
Revisado: 03-07-17
Any additional comments?
Heavy Weather is both beautifully written and artfully narrated. The story is full of tea-on-the-porch southern charm and just-one-more-chapter suspense. Full of aw...moments, heartbreak, love, and second chances, Heavy Weather more than delivers the thoughtful and touching story we've come to expect from Normandie Fischer story. And I can't say enough about Laura Jennings. Her narration really brought the characters to life for me.

Any additional comments?
I loved the whole story and the way it was performed. The producer has a great range of accents. It took me a couple of chapters to get used to the them, but once I did I could hardly put the book down. There was just the right balance of action and reflection. And I love that the story was CLEAN. I've been told this is book one and I can't wait for book 2.
