Historia
Gary Thomas, pastor and best-selling author of Sacred Marriage, believes that one simple word can bring hope, light, and life into any marriage: Cherish. Most marriages survive by gritting teeth and holding on. But what if surviving marriage wasn't the goal? What if we aimed to thrive instead? In Cherish, Thomas teaches us that although there are a countless number of marriages consisting of two people just going through the motions, there are real ways this pattern can be reversed.

Gary Thomas's books are changing and strengthening our marriage
Revisado: 10-16-24
We get insights from this author's books that we don't get from any other source. As lifelong speakers and teachers ourselves, you might think that we have heard and learned so much that little would be new to us..... not so with this author! He has insights and wisdom that goes deeper and more practical than any other books on marriage we have read.

Historia
From the author of the critically acclaimed bestseller, Scent of the Missing, comes a heartwarming and inspiring story that shows how dogs can be rescued and can rescue in return. For her first book, Susannah Charleson was praised for her unique insight into the kinship between humans and dogs, as revealed through canine search and rescue. In The Possibility Dogs Charleson chronicles her journey into the world of psychiatric-service and therapy dogs trained to serve the human mind, a journey that began as a personal one. After a particularly grisly search led to a struggle with PTSD, Charleson credits healing to her partnership with search dog Puzzle. Inspired by that experience and having met dogs formally trained to assist in such crises, Charleson learns to identify abandoned dogs with service potential, often plucking them from shelters at the last minute, and to train them for work beside hurting partners, to whom these second-chance dogs bring intelligence, comfort, and hope.

Foul language
Revisado: 05-08-24
I learned a lot about service animals and I love dogs. It was very well written, but for the life of me I just can't understand why the author would choose to use such foul language when she wants to appeal to as wide an audience as possible?? I would love to listen to more of her books but I will choose not to for that very reason.

Prolific foul language
Revisado: 02-11-24
Very interesting story line. Easy to get hooked. Good characters except for the leading lady who was unbelievably naive and made decisions based on the emotion of the moment, usually anger. The foul language ruined it for me. Those who have a higher tolerance for the unfiltered tongue would probably really enjoy her books.

Great read...except
Revisado: 08-27-23
A great read except for the foul language which adds nothing to the story and doesn't make anyone more comfortable. I've never had anyone say to me "I'm just not comfortable unless there's a lot of foul language in my reading material". But there are many like myself who cringe every time I hear the bad language. I did put up with it because the content otherwise was so good... but did not appreciate it.

Historia
The telegram Samantha Sawyer Rodriguez holds is her key to freedom: her late uncle, Ezra, has left her his ranch in Sweetwater Springs, Montana. At last, she and her young son will have a true home, and she can finally pursue her dreams of raising her prized miniature horses and building a sanctuary for wayward orphans. Prosperous rancher Wyatt Thompson has long coveted that river property. It’s bad enough that Ezra’s niece refuses to sell it, but worse by far that she’s stubborn, proud, and beautiful.

Not a Christian book
Revisado: 06-13-23
If you are looking for a Christian book, then be aware that there is a lot of foul language which increases as the book progresses. I also was dismayed at the detailed description of body parts and the sensual thought life of the characters. Not what I would expect from a Christian author! It's a shame, since she has a good story line.

Language not clean
Revisado: 05-05-23
For books that billed themselves as "clean and wholesome" I was surprised and disappointed to hear foul language included. To most people, clean and wholesome means clean language among other things. I could not figure out what the authors purpose was.

Thought provoking read
Revisado: 03-20-23
No, this is not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill storyline. Some might find it a bit sophomoric, but I disagree. The author puts a lot of thought and feeling into these characters.
