Historia
The summer in question started out with hot, fun-filled days and new friendships. We had just turned thirteen and had our whole lives ahead of us. But that was before her. Before we became known as the Hixton Five and our lives become defined by one night. It’s hard to believe twenty years have passed since she was locked away. But now she’s free and strange things have started to happen. When I close my eyes, the creeping anxiety and fear is overwhelming and all too real. Because the monster is back, and I know she has a score to settle with us.

I wasn’t sure about this at first but the story captured me. I thought several times that I had figured out where things were going but was hit with a surprise. I really enjoyed this one!

Not worth the hype
Revisado: 02-16-24
I powered through and finished but I hope I can get a refund. I do not understand all the 5 star reviews. This just wasn’t a great book. Too predictable, characters lacked personality, unbelievable that the younger girls could be THAT naive.

Struggled to finish. Storyline was predictable. A bit hard to follow with the constant shift between characters.

New kind of self help book
Revisado: 10-10-18
I found myself relating to so many of their stories. I truly enjoyed hearing the perspectives and finding that my own thoughts are very normal. A unique take on the usually boring self help book.
