Left me in Awe

This book is a revisionist history of the Abrahamic faiths. The author's writing is beautiful. I was sucked into the story and held in its thrall as I listened to it. The narrator's voice fits the story perfectly. Her tone was beautifully dark and the hint of a foreign accent was the icing on the cake.
This book had me lost in thought for days after I listened to it. Could his version of the biblical and Quranic stories hold some truth? The author was very brave to tackle the mythos of the major religions as he did. I'm at a loss on how to adequately review this book without spoilers. It is a must in your library.

I’m only halfway through the book but I’m all in it. Darhavin seems amazing. I can’t wait to hear the rest. If this is a series I can’t wait for the next book to come out. It’s amazing to find fantasy with characters you can relate to and look like me :)

Wasn’t what I expected.

I didn’t know what to think coming into this book. It instantly draws you in. This book has my scared out of my mind at times and disgusted at others. It’s a great story liken to Anne Rices Vampire novels. Jesse is very talented and has a dark mind. I just discovered this book is a sequel. So now I’m going to have to listen to the first book.
Great read!! I highly recommend it.

A beautiful dark story about an angel whose love for humanity cost him everything. I highly recommend this book. If your a lover of angels and romance Mala'ik is a much-needed and much-welcomed addition to this genre.
