Bad narrator, confusing story.

I tried! I listened to the whole story and did my damnest to ignore the narrator who sounded like she was still in high school, and to find a story...somewhere.
There was no designation between characters. It was hard to find who she was talking about. Also, they all sounded the same.
The story was more than contrived, and not easy to follow. Plus, I was getting sick of the main character with her internal drama and school girl reactions. Returning it.

I listened to the whole thing and hoped as each word was spoken it would get better. The premise was good, but the story lacked substance. Maybe it was the narrator, but I am more inclined to say that the emotions needed to be fleshed out more. Carrie was like some love struck ten year old in her thoughts and actions.
While the mystery was very good, it needed more depth.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would, and I love the whole series! We need to discuss the narrator though. He is too quiet and it sounds he can't quite decide what voice he wants to use.

I would really try and find someone else to read the book. Honestly, he might be good, but for a Castle book, he is not quite right. Also, speak up!
