Historia
After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty. Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust. Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

Vi and Xaden are in a MATURE relationship
Revisado: 01-29-25
I loved everything about this book. The focus on the political aspects, the introduction of new players, seeing how Navarre has its government. All of it was amazing.
Ridoc and Garrick! Seeing more of them and their humor on the page is phenomenonal. Ridoc was already my favorite person in the Iron Squad but he really came through in this book.
Lastly, Violet and Xaden are so much more mature in their relationship, and no, I'm not just talking about the sex scenes. They talk more, they're on the same page more, and also the number of times Xaden could technically be considered as having proposed to Violet will make sense in the end.
Rebecca Yarros ripped out our hearts again and I can't wait to see what she brings us next, but Rebecca Soler is the only person I hear when I physically read the books on my own. She truly is the voice of the story.

Historia
The world is no longer safe for the Dragon Rider Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. An evil king has been toppled, and they are left to face the consequences of the reluctant role they played in his reign of terror. Now they are hated and alone, exiled to the outskirts of society. Throughout the land, hushed voices whisper of brittle ground and a faint scent of brimstone in the air—and Murtagh senses that something wicked lurks in the shadows of Alagaësia. So begins an epic journey into lands both familiar and untraveled.

I love a good redemption arc
Revisado: 11-14-23
this is what I feel all of us Inheritance fans who are now grown up have desired: a true reflection of Murtagh and Thorn's actual characters and personalities, a chance to see what really happened to them under Galbatorix, and a chance for them to be redeemed in the eyes of the people of Alagäesia. I can't wait to see what else Christopher will write about Murtagh and how this next big evil will conclude.

Historia
As a massive outbreak of supernatural visitors baffles Scotland Yard and causes protests throughout London, Lockwood & Co. continue to demonstrate their effectiveness in exterminating spirits. Anthony Lockwood is dashing, George insightful, and Lucy dynamic, while the skull in the jar utters sardonic advice from the sidelines.

Trenton Colman is exceptionally creative, with a knack for all things mechanical. But his talents are viewed with suspicion in Cove, a steam-powered city built inside a mountain. In Cove, creativity is a crime, and invention is a curse word.

If the dragon baits you in...
Revisado: 03-26-21
...the story will finish reeling you. Such a clever and interesting take, this book combines steampunk machinery with dystopian governments and fantasy all in one. And since it's included in audible membership, what do you have to lose? If I could give this book 100000 stars, I would.

such a great story for female solidarity! I love how there's also a theme of learning to admit when you're wrong or being prejudiced also.
