One of the Saddest Books I've Ever Read

My daughter asked me to get this book for her. She works with young girls and wanted to know, more in-depth, what is happening to them. She would mention areas of the book to me and it peeked my interest. I know that it's horrible how our girls are being targeted, but not in my wildest imaginations did I realize the extent, the damage to families, and the horrible outcomes so many have endured. I am sure the author has received much persecution for writing this. I applaud her bravery.

A New Genre for Me

I don't typically listen to stories, but thought I would get our of my self-improvement mode. In the first chapter, I thought I had made a mistake. Not that it was bad, just that I was not a person for stories. However, as the story progressed I found myself getting more interested in the outcome. By the time of the conclusion I was glad I had purchased this. The only thing that I did not like just how precise some of the details were. Really? Researching information several decades ago the researcher find information on facial expressions or tones of voice? Well, I guess filing in the blanks is required to put a story together.

As A Tony Robbins Fan, This Fell Short

I really felt like this was trying to be another side of Tony Robbins, but falling short. As a stand along (and if you're not a Robbins fan) then this may be a good fit. I've listened to a lot of Robbins materials, like his approach, and put in practice his ideas and because of that thought this was just alright. As far as the reading of it, I was ok with that and it kept me engaged.

A Little Long but Good Stuff

I thought the book was interesting overall. I did not know a lot of the stuff in his early years and his journey in getting to the life that made its mark. My only complaint on a 15-hour book is that it spent so much time on his daily need and how it was met. I loved the faith aspect of those stories, they just became a little tedious after awhile. Overall, a good book.

Was Very Disappointed....Almost Returned

I really loved the title and thought this would be a home run for me. I like Mr. Hyatt's stuff and have several of his books, programs, and planners. But I hated the two reader platform. He and his daughter read very differently and they change up way too frequently. I know I lost most of the content just in the change ups. I personally think this would be far better visually reading, but from what I got out of it I still think it fell below his prior work.

A Hard Book For Me To Read

The content of the book is good, especially for someone new to the faith. I felt it was basic in its concept. I found this hard to read because of the constant background music, which to me was a distraction and the changing in voices (that sounded to be in a chamber) when reading scripture or being another person. I almost returned this book because of these two negative (in my opinion).

A Very Well Rounded Concept on Investing

I've enjoyed this book. It is not deep, an easy read. I enjoyed it and think that it is a good book to add into any library.

An Eye-Opening Book

I read this for historical interest and to learn more about the life of George Washington Carver. I was not prepared for the content. I think this book should be a mandatory read in school. His life was amazing. He inspired me, encouraged me, and caused me to pose the question to myself of, "what's holding me back." I recommended this to a friend to who listened and came back to me and thanked me for telling him of it. The only area I did not like was the performance. In this part I didn't like the add-in voices of various characters. But that's just me.
