Would you consider the audio edition of Growing Young to be better than the print version?

The book is filled with pretty much cutting edge information that you probably won't get from your doctor. It is excellent information if you want to be healthier and are willing to put forth the effort, energy and expense. The book is read by the author and doesn't have the polished presentation that a professional reader might give it but the author's enthusiasm does come through and overall the presentation is good enough that it doesn't detract but doesn't add anything either. Where the audio book really falls short is in the presentation of the technical information. The real "meat" of the book is a long list of supplements , dosages, manufactures, costs and time schedules. This is great information and so few authors ever get into real specifics. It is the specificity of this information that is so meaningful. This is not information that you can just remember so you need to take extensive notes. But trying to listen and write is difficult at best. I found myself having to going back several times to get the information down and was not sure of the spelling nor the dosages. The book needs an additional PDF file. Without the addition of a PDF file I would recommend purchasing the book in a print format and save yourself the aggravation.

Disappointing

This book was a disappointment on several accounts. Lots new characters and introduced and there is constant references to Lord So and So or Sir What’s his name who are either new or have little to do with the story. I felt like I needed a set of notes telling me who is on which side and doing what to whom. Far too many characters with little or no true character development. On top of that there was almost no differentiation between voices so unless you are being very astute it is easy to become confused by who is talking. Chapters and their corresponding change in point of view are announced by the major characters name but no change in voice. As a result if you miss the name that intros the chapter you end up wondering why Sir So and So is talking about having breasts and being raped only to realize this chapter is about one of the women in the book. You couldn't tell from the reader's voice. Did I enjoy it? Sure, but none the less both the book and the reader fall far short from the previous 3 book which were tremendous. This one would be better read in print.
