Historia
Thomas Jefferson asserted that if there was any leader of the Revolution, “Samuel Adams was the man.” With high-minded ideals and bare-knuckle tactics, Adams led what could be called the greatest campaign of civil resistance in American history. Stacy Schiff returns Adams to his seat of glory, introducing us to the shrewd and eloquent man who supplied the moral backbone of the American Revolution, bringing her masterful skills to Adams’s improbable life, illuminating his transformation from aimless son of a well-off family to tireless, beguiling radical who mobilized the colonies.

This book is absolutely unbearable to listen to. I am reading Schiff’s other book The Witches: Salem, 1692 and very much enjoying it. Look forward to reading the hard copy of this one because the topic is interesting and I love her thoroughly researched, engaging, prolific writing style. This is just :::horribly::: narrated.

Legendary director, writer, and actor Paul Feig joins me for our very first episode. Note to listeners: he’s in a seven-piece suit, and I’m in sweatpants. It’s great. You'll hear all about my first kiss, and Paul's own awkward romances (like the ones that inspired his show "Freaks and Geeks”). Plus, Paul shares his experiences from “The Office.” I learn the creative process doesn’t really get easier, even after decades in the industry. Please note, Funny Cuz It’s True contains mature themes and may not be appropriate for all listeners. Stay up to date with us on Twitter, ...

Loved EVERYTHING about this. And can’t help but feel so proud of Elyse for putting herself out there in this way. Had goosebumps and a permanent smile the first 20 minutes of the first episode. It’s brilliant from beginning to end. Love the sound effects, the commentary, the VERY relatable, real-life interview. This is a must listen.

On today’s episode of our special series, Momentum: Civil Rights in the 1950s, Sharon speaks with pulitzer-prize winning author, Gilbert King. It's Important for people to know that the popular narrative of the 1950s – depicted as a time full of sock hops, poodle skirts, and Rock & Roll – was not the lived experience of many Black Americans. In numerous ways, their experience was often worse than what people commonly think of, particularly in the South, including forms of debt slavery. This leads us to The Groveland Four: A harrowing story of 4 young black men who were targeted, and ...
